They are always finding planets that could support human life, just found nothing concrete yet that life exists on these planets. Most scientists are confident that life exists elsewhere, why wouldn't it? I always think the debate on alien life is very one dimensional, if aliens exist then it's just as likely they will find us first and if they do then you can bet that they are far more technologically advanced then ourselves, we better hope they aren't barbaric or they will wipe us all out.

I think they have already visited us ,we just ain't prepared for the mass announcement of it ,what happens to religion if there arearly different lifeforms out there

In terms of life is the question as everybody sees Aliens as coming in space ships and little green men. But life on comets is well known I.E. Bacteria is more than probable. But the size of the universe there has to be life it can't be just us. With the amount of planets out there there will be others sustainable of life. But the question is will they have they visited us ? Well either they are just to far away or if they have the technology to travel such vast distances they wouldn't want to come and visit us would they ? And even if they did they would see how barbaric we are and would fook off again very quick
But I don't believe we are being watched or there are cover ups of ETs.

Not aliens from outer space, but "aliens" from within our own atmosphere, that'd freak people out, especially if there were any truth in shape-shifting creatures or things that can interbreed with humans.

If the earth is flat then where is the edge? You can travel around the earth in a straight line forever. If the earth was flat and we travelled at some point you should hit an edge but there are none. Also we can see planets moons and the sun through telescopes and they are all spherical except maybe mars 2 moons which are irregular. We can tell that the other planets are ball shape because they rotate if they we're flat discs then they would get flatter as they turn, but this does not happen. Why would our planet be the only one not spherical. Everything that has mass has gravity (including you) but it is the weakest force known (that is why you can pick up a rock) gravity does not act on everything equal. It depends on the mass of the object. What force acts on an object to bring it back to earth atherwise?
