What Does the WPL need to do ?

Wed Feb 15, 2017 9:04 pm

just seen now that skysports news have bought rights to show Northern Irish premier league football, meaning the WPL is the only league out of the 4 home nations not to have sky tv money (obviously the northern irish money isn't that big) but it will surely impact the league.

the standard of the WPL is shocking in my opinion, definitely the worst league, with most of the big names all former football league regulars close to retirement. what do you think they need to do realistically ?

In my opinion, why don't they change their league to summer football ? surely with no other football on (bar the Euro's and World Cup) every 2 years more people are likely to go watch them, or watch them on tv.

Summer football and ditch the split league nonsense.
Attract more clubs from the south east.
And get TNS to f**k off.

Become A centralised finance company like the MLS, so many is split evenly.

With TNS running away with the he league, cup & National cup every year, it gets boring. They have Money, and the only professional playing squad in the league. Welsh Government could even get involved in link Sport & Education together like the USA.

It's not about limiting the amount of big money owners you have in the league, if big backers want to come in. Then let them do so, but it limits how much money they can spend.

In all honesty, the league is f**ked.

Summer football increase the league to 16 sides no more of this split league rubbish.Need to get more teams to become full time aswell the only way that would happen though is if the FAW gave the clubs more money but that's never going to happen.

the argument has been there for years regarding changing to a summer sport, any idea why they refuse to change it ?
