14 Games Left & They're Mainly Teams Below Us

Wed Feb 15, 2017 12:32 am

With the 3 teams we just played we now have more games against teams that are lower in the table than us although that doesn't necessarily mean they will be easier fixtures especially if they are teams fighting for points to stay in the division.

We have a few favourable home games to come and picking up these 6 points against the stronger teams so to speak was a good help to us ensuring safety this season. Also it put a marker down showing that we can be a force next season that won't be afraid to go out and play to win these sorts of matches.

Looking at our Remaining games we have 5 teams to play that are currently above us and then 9 currently below us.

These games aren't in order it's how the table reads.

Remaining games for teams above us: Newcastle(H), Huddersfield(A), Sheffield Wednesday(A), Fulham(H) and Barnsley(A)

Remaining games for teams below us: Ipswich(H),Birmingham(H), Brentford(H), Forest(H), Wolves(A), QPR(A), Wigan(A), Blackburn(A) and Rotherham(H)

When you look at those we have some teams to play that aren't doing very well, I think most would back us to win our home games against Rotherham and Forest, I would be disappointed also not to beat Brentford and Birmingham aswell with the poor form they are both in. Tough Games against Ipswich and Wolves but we can surely back ourselves with these recent away wins.

Nothing is a given in this division of course. These in my opinion are some favourable games but any of these teams are capable of beating us and we are capable of beating any of them. Warnock has saved us this season I am positive we are safe now, let's all just try & enjoy what we have left of this season and then hopefully look forward to what should be a very exciting season with Neil Warnock at the helm.

the best any club has done in the 29 years this has been a 24 team division from a start of 8 points from 11 is Leeds 88/89 finished 10th with 67 points. i didnt think that possible for us ,but looking at those fixtures and the form we are in ,8 wins and 2 draws from the remaining 14 is achievable.
shame the season hasnt got an extra 6 games .
anyway..Leeds went up as champions the following season. maybe we will too

Great analysis mate. Bring on next season. I'm not a Tan fan but I am confident he will back Colin.
