Halford-an important part of Warnocks style.

Against Villa Warnock used Bamba sitting in front of the back 2 and it was very effective so now Halford having found his feet seems to be employed in the same capacity.Teams now seem unable to play through the middle against us and if his age doesn't catch up with him could be an important part of a promotion push next year.He reminds me of Mc phail somewhat.

Agreed and what I like most about is that it brings out more of Gunnar and Ralls.

As much as all of us love free flowing, champagne football there's times when efficiency is more important and Halford is here for just those times.

Bamba playing that position against Villa made us look very solid, as did Halford on Saturday! He certainly proved he has something to offer. Very different player to Mcphail though, who despite a lot of criticism was technically excellent and great at keeping the ball.
