agree mate the red really ripped the heart and soul of the club and it hurt but im a big believer that time is the best healerKorovaMilkbar1927 wrote:Couldn't agree more with you and if you look at the other things our fan base has had to contend with such as, the rebrand, debts and the general feel of the club at the moment I don't think we're doing too bad with those things considered. The rebrand ruined things for me as I could not go and watch us play in red at home. Slowly but surely things will improve and hopefully draw the crowds back

how much was we averaging in our pl season? I didn't go once when we was in red but always watched motd and it did look like we sold out every game. i was looking at the QPR new stadium articles earlier. since ive been watching Cardiff ,QPR have had 22 top teir seasons yet ttheir best average crowd is 23k. people knock our suport but for a potentially big club we have seen very little of the good times that keep you going through the bad ones.

Leeds spent those entire 14 seasons in the top flight including winning the League, played at Wembley twice, had numerous jaunts in Europe and played in a Champions League Semi Final.
We spent 7 of those 14 season in the dungeon, finishing 87th and 88th out of 90 Clubs in two seasons, no trips to Wembley and 2 trips in the Cup Winners Cup where we got knocked out in the first round.
They had years and years of success to build up a fan base whilst we have had nothing in comparison

I am showing we have had years now of success, compared to our years in the late 80's and 90's and our new fan base have not seen bad days at all.
Leeds had amazing success in the 70's,then faded badly in the 80's,then came back strongly believe it or not under the Riddler and then for the last 14 years they have struggled quite badly, so its not been success all the way for them at all and in their last 14 years not once has their average home support gone below 21,000 and their away support has always been virtually sell outs where ever they have gone.

I know and I never missed one home or away Cardiff City game during that period and at many away games we only took 50-150 away fans and one away game their was 11 of us attended,Gillingham away. We had as low as 100 season ticket holders, so since 2001, we have come a long long way, Its been a fantastic journey on the pitch for our old and new fans (Minus the Rebrand):bluebird:![]()
