Just seen a clip where city beat leeds 0-4 and leeds crowd was shocking. the point im getting at is we all moan about our fan base being fickle and only turn up when were winning ect but the truth is its the same with every club not just ours,Leeds have got a good rep for a loyal fanbase also.

Couldn't agree more with you and if you look at the other things our fan base has had to contend with such as, the rebrand, debts and the general feel of the club at the moment I don't think we're doing too bad with those things considered. The rebrand ruined things for me as I could not go and watch us play in red at home. Slowly but surely things will improve and hopefully draw the crowds back

Couldn't agree more with you and if you look at the other things our fan base has had to contend with such as, the rebrand, debts and the general feel of the club at the moment I don't think we're doing too bad with those things considered. The rebrand ruined things for me as I could not go and watch us play in red at home. Slowly but surely things will improve and hopefully draw the crowds back

i was looking at the QPR new stadium articles earlier. since ive been watching Cardiff ,QPR have had 22 top teir seasons yet ttheir best average crowd is 23k. people knock our suport but for a potentially big club we have seen very little of the good times that keep you going through the bad ones.

I am showing we have had years now of success, compared to our years in the late 80's and 90's and our new fan base have not seen bad days at all.

Leeds had amazing success in the 70's,then faded badly in the 80's,then came back strongly believe it or not under the Riddler and then for the last 14 years they have struggled quite badly, so its not been success all the way for them at all and in their last 14 years not once has their average home support gone below 21,000 and their away support has always been virtually sell outs where ever they have gone.

So you can't say they are badly supported.

When Brighton left the Goldstone ground,they had years & years at that 5,500 shitty athletic stadium,Which I went with City on numerous occasions, so they lost their fans as well.

RV is right again, we might think we have had success but all the clubs who we try and compete with have had generations of top flight football. Have made this point before. It takes an age for it to dwindle, forest are starting to slowly lose a fan base that was built on the success from the stone ages.

The worst time for me was at Wembley under Dave Jones,losing to Blackpool, I was fuming, We bottled it,although most fans on here say,under Dave Jones we had 6 years of quality football.


Playing Liverpool at Wembley was a Dream come true, after vising places like Darlighton, Hartlepool, Carlisle etc 8 & 9 times each with City, this was something special, drawing with the Mighty Liverpool 2-2 and only losing out on penalties was one of my greatest ever days following City in over 43 years

I am showing we have had years now of success, compared to our years in the late 80's and 90's and our new fan base have not seen bad days at all.

Leeds had amazing success in the 70's,then faded badly in the 80's,then came back strongly believe it or not under the Riddler and then for the last 14 years they have struggled quite badly, so its not been success all the way for them at all and in their last 14 years not once has their average home support gone below 21,000 and their away support has always been virtually sell outs where ever they have gone.

meanwhile in yorkshire even during that 14 years they finished higher in the prem than we ever have,and played in europe
massive in my eyes isnt getting smaller crowds than Brighton who nobody thinks are massive.

When Brighton left the Goldstone ground,they had years & years at that 5,500 shitty athletic stadium,Which I went with City on numerous occasions, so they lost their fans as well.

your missing the point. well sort of made my point too.
LEEDS are not massive now they are the 7 th best suported club in the 2nd tier.below teams who have had a far worse time of it than them.
or is it potentially massive because they had previous success ?,which of course brings in all those prem years and finals that you want to ignore.

Also, whilst recent history has been kinder than the recent years that went before it we haven't really had success.

We LOST both Cup finals, we LOST the Play Off Final and were Relegated after one season in the top flight, we also LOST in the Play off Semi Final's two season's in a row.

Really speaking, all our new fans have actually ever known, the 2012/13 season aside, is failure.

The worst time for me was at Wembley under Dave Jones,losing to Blackpool, I was fuming, We bottled it,although most fans on here say,under Dave Jones we had 6 years of quality football.


Playing Liverpool at Wembley was a Dream come true, after vising places like Darlighton, Hartlepool, Carlisle etc 8 & 9 times each with City, this was something special, drawing with the Mighty Liverpool 2-2 and only losing out on penalties was one of my greatest ever days following City in over 43 years

Annis I was there aswell, through the thick and thin and for people like us it was success and a priveledge but for new fans it was failure and that is all they will know, the nearly men, that is the point I am making
