QPR hope to draw up plans soon for a new 30,000-seat stadium on the site of the Linford Christie athletics track in west London.

Have QPR ever had the need for a 30000 stadium?
I know we don't either but at least ours is the National Stadium, where Wales fill it up nearly every home game.

No won't fill unless in premier or occasional cup game ! But Cost of expanding from 20k to 30k at later date is far greater than if originally built for 30k? Look at Swansea talk of 50m to make it 35k from 20k ???? We were lucky as ours was designed with expansion in mind hence only 11m to add new stand.

We are hoping to start work in March 2017, and move in for the start of the 2019/20 season.
We will have to get permission to use the terracing in the Championship, while we are still at Griffin Park.

I went to Griffin Park on Boxing Day. (Good game, happy enough with a point, despite the late equaliser). It's a great old ground, but I was wondering how the terracing was still allowed. We had terracing at Ninian Park. All the best!
