i know i am knocking on a bit--but

my first match as fan was in1959/60 when Cardiff city beat aston villa to gain promotion to the first division in front of 55.000 fans----is there anyone else on the forum who was there?

l was born in Jan 59 but my dad said i was too young to watch the Bluebirds, he did used to go on about beating the Mighty Spurs during their double winning season though, 3- 2 in front of a packed house

Yes I was there 1-0 to city Graham Moore the scorer, I think that was the year city beat Liverpool 3-2 and Danny Malloy scored 2 own goals in our first game

I was very young at the time but I am sure that the winning goal was scored at the canton end of ninian park----my mate says it was the grange end who is right?
