' Neil Warnock Will have to work hard to sign him '

Junior Hoilett, to sign him for Cardiff City next Season Neil Warnock will have to work hard and Hoilett will want a high wage.

For me personally along with Sol Bamba, Hoilett has been one of Warnocks best signings.

Warnock would have to work hard if he wanted to keep the Canadian winger, after admitting it wasn’t easy to convince him to come to the club initially, talking Hoilett into taking a dip in wages to get back playing – he was released by QPR last summer.

Hoilett has added real quality to the Bluebirds’ line-up, especially having joined on a free transfer, and he undoubtedly belongs in a top 10 team.

He has terrified the majority of defences he’s faced this season and that’s the type of winger needed to compete in the top half.

The 26-year-old would be perfect for a promotion push, but can he be convinced to stick around? It would certainly give Warnock a boost as he looks to strengthen his team in the summer.

If Warnock can sign Hoilett up,he will have brought in a player that will then be worth money to our club :thumbright:

I like Junior, he brings a good attitude to the club and seems to be getting on well with his team mates.

I'd be happy if we signed him up for next season.

you can be sure some prem sides will have had him watched. If one comes in with a fat signing on fee and prem wages we can kiss goodbye to him.

He's been pretty good and I believe with some better quality and more attacking players around him he could make a much bigger impact.

Have you noticed how often he is the furthest player up the pitch sometimes.. A refection of our lack of pace and attacking players at the club.

Be delighted if he stayed on.

Agree with the other posters who say his attitude and team commitment seems excellent

if we are serious he needs to be signed up

Let's remember he did not take a drop in salary...... he had no salary.

We put these players on pedestals and they then believe in their own hype.

That said, next season he will be in demand as he has no fee attached to him.

Exactly, a very good point....the only reason he was without a club when we signed him was either nobody wanted him or he was asking too much in wages.

He's done ok but is certainly no world beater...offer him a contract at sensible wages but let's not go overboard!!!

I'd be desperately disappointed if he tried holding the club to some sort of ransom.this was a player with no club no deal on the table and let's be honest we took a chance, yes that chance paid off but let's see professional footballers maybe show some loyalty.

I think if he signed for us it would be out of loyalty to NW not this club.Frazier Cambell did a similar thing, signed for us coming off a long term injury when he really needed to restart his career somewhere. If someone else offers him more than we deem he's worth them he's off like a rat up a drainpipe and no blame to him.Sorry lads but all this loyalty to a club that gave him a chance is total bollocks.

Agree with the "Only signed for Neil Warnock" comment

If Neil warnock is backed for next season, then there is every chance that Hoillett might stay. He has been a revelation for us under this manager and it's worth remembering he might just feel he 'owes' him something after being brought in from the wilderness ;)

QPR let him go for some reason, so is this yet another example of the old 'Neil Warnock magic' knowing what a player can do and then managing him as a person?

Personally, I think so; the same as he's done with Bamba and others! :ayatollah:

The cynic in me is thinking that he is busting a gut to get a new contract and then when he's got it he'll be happy to just do the minimum.

It's not Hoillett personally, it is just the modern day footballer. I cannot help but think that was Immers' intention all over.

Can't argue with your reasoning and I hope your right. :bluebird:

He has moments of class and sometimes looks on a different level. Hasn't scored or created that many though. Why doesn't he last more than 65 mins if he is a world beater doing us a favour for the gaffer at this level ?

Cant believe we have not offered a new contract yet. Sign him up

Hoilett has been very consistent and created quite a few chances since he joined us and has continued to improve. He had a stormer against Preston last week, nearly scoring, winning a penalty, put in a number of runs and crosses.

We need to keep him next season.

Considering he came to us unfit not bad really. He will only get better in my opinion.

Definitely need to keep players like hoilet if we are pushing next year.

He's probably a lower premier club player ? Whilst love to keep him cannot see him staying as offers will be to tempting, he's served his perpose by helping to keep us up so mustn't complain if goes.

Terrible stats imo. But they are in fact one of the best in the team. But I suppose watching him live gives a better picture.

Refused contract with blackburn.

Left money bags QPR because they didn't offer him a good enough deal. No rush to sign him then !!!!

I would suggest his agent has a very high opinion of him. He has two functions to score and create goals, has he done more than Kadeem ?

Good player we shall see in the summer if really does want play for Warnock or will refuse a new contract for more money.

not a lover of some/most of these in game stats tbh.
66% pass accuracy is very good if the players pass selection is good too.
better than 90% accuracy if pass selection is poor ? stats actually give you a big tick for a 2 yrd square pass when you missed seeing the run on goal by another player

Started off on fire but of recent has been very quiet with his performances. For me he will have to bring back his best before wanting decent wages here.
