Whats missing that could make Kenneth Zohore a scorer?
Is it that Zohore just needs more support? or is he just a work house who will score now and again.
Can Kenneth Zohore be a striker that can get City 20 goals in the Championship?

Kenneth Zohore needs support?
By Jamie Kemble
Tuesday 7th February 2017
Kenneth Zohore has been excellent in recent weeks and he continues to grow into his role in the front-line, but he needs support.
Harris and Hoilett have provided the support from wide areas in recent weeks, but when he gets the ball, all-too-often he has to bring it down at try his luck, rather than lay it off to supporting attackers and getting into good positions.
Zohore needs a man to play off, someone like Anthony Pilkington or even Craig Noone, or he risks becoming very predictable to the opposition.
The way it is, defences only have to stand Zohore away from goal and it’s a job done. Zohore has real ability, but he won’t be allowed to run through four or five players every week – he needs support and movement around him.

He seems to play better when Harris is in attack with him

hes playing up on his own,i doubt hes ever had to do the work hes currently putting in for the team, hes still young and will improve and get more goals just keep with him

Zohore is pretty good at holding the ball up,bringing players in to play, defending corners and in general use his strength and pace to attack.
I don't think he's a 20 goal a season man especially at present when we don't create a lot.Keep him for next season but we do need someone to maybe play off him,a tried and tested poacher/finisher.
Easier said than done I know.

The kid has raw talent and hopefully gets a few more goals to give him confidence because he could soon be a fans favourite.
I like that he's giving 100% every game.
Imagine him and Saadi upfront next season, now that is a partnership that could absolutely deadly in this league

i think he is doing just fine and will improve, already better than quite a few we have had here last few seasons.

I think we are using him totally wrong. He is a 43 striker, but we set up like that but don't play it
Its funny when i watch the masters of 433 most Dutch teams, they don't just whack the ball up to an area near a big guy, they manipulate the ball into position he can score from.
Van Persie, Van Nistlerooy or Van Basten where all tall strong players, but the ball wasn't aimless hoofed in their general direction. He is not Peter Thorne, Alan Lee or Toshack.
The problem is for this to work we need two wide forwards (pilks isn't quick enough) and we need to get rid of Gunnar and Whitts and replace them for far more mobile midfielders. Funnily enough we just let a perfect player go back home.
I think Warnock will sell Kenny for a small profit in the summer

exactly and at such a young age playing the lone striker isnt easy i think he will be very very good by the time he hits 26-27

I can't see him scoring 12 a season .. he's a work horse big and clumpy with pace.
Central defender comes to mind and he's young enough to convert.
I praise him massively for his efforts and undoubtedly work rate

Hope not letting him go would be a mistake strikers with his size and pace are not easy to find he would go somewhere else and flourish like Gestede did its about time we stopped giving good strikers away.

Need a decent striker to play next to him or to push him for competition
Tue Feb 07, 2017 2:40 pm
Would he rather play with someone up top or on his own that's the real question.
One thing he needs to improve is in front of goal, needs more composure instead of thumping it.

To maximise him we need two old fashioned inside forwards, like Bellers was at Liverpool or Citeh. A wide playing who wants to get in that box ahead of him at every possible occasion. Neither Holiett, Nooney, Harris or Kennedy are those types of players. Tom Lawrence is one that spring to mind . I am sure Pilks could have played that role but father time may be nipping that pace and he rarely plays 3 games in a row anyway.
You need a pass focused midfield to get the ball to the front 3 and lets be honest our Neil doesn't do that. So if he is not a target man, why keep him ?
