With over 2,500 people now signed up, manager Steve Cain estimates that membership could have shot past the 4,000 mark by Christmas if officials hadn't called a halt.

He said: "We could have kept on taking new members, but didn't want to give people false hope that we could get them tickets, so closed the books on August 31.
