RANIERI: PLAYERS BEHIND ME

Leicester City Current Premier League Champions

Claudio Ranieri insists his players are fully behind him despite Leicester slipping closer to the bottom three after a 3-0 defeat at home to Manchester United.

The Foxes made it very easy for United, who scored three goals in eight minutes either side of half-time, to pick up a comfortable three points.

Reports of dressing room unrest have circulated as the Foxes have dropped down the table, but Ranieri is adamant he has the support of his players, and they will stick together in order to secure their Premier League safety.

"Journalists ask about the players, and whether they are happy with me, and I can tell you they are happy with me," Ranieri told Sky Sports.

"Until the first goal, we were in the match. We were playing to our philosophy, trying to press, trying to do something good.

"We are together, I have full confidence in the players, and also the players are confident with me."

Big talk last season on some of their fans putting £50 on them at the start to win the Premiership. I think they were offered 5,000 to 1. Can't exactly remember but it was big bucks they stood to win with osme of them cashing out this time last season.

I wonder if any of them put money on them selves going down? I know a few felt they would go down.

Last season it was great to see a different team win the premier league and having spent a hell of a lot less than the top teams! I have to say though it is very odd how they went from bottom to the top of the league in a matter of months and then now falling back down towards the bottom 3 and could even get relegated? What's gone wrong or perhaps I should say what went right?

They never replaced Kante and everyone spoke of Mahrez and Vardy with the goals and assists but Kante was the driving force in that team and he has got even better since the Euro's and joining Chelsea.

Still in the Champions League and smashed their group, could still go far in that.. be surprised if they went down looking at teams like Palace and that atm.
