Leeds away £37

Sun Feb 05, 2017 7:16 pm

This is one game I intended going to but the price has totally put me off.

The price has never bothered me although I have been reluctant customer/supporters of some places like Leeds and Ipswich. This time my tolerance level has been passed so its a definite no from me on this game.

Yes I'm annoyed it has come to this but who should I throw my teddy at:
1. Leeds United themselves.
2. Cardiff City for not giving the tickets back.
3 Cardiff City fans for not boycotting this game.

I'm going for all 3 at the moment.

The football league need to look at pricing structures. Surely a product should have a fixed price. You can argue law of supply and demand but Leeds have only sold out once this year which tells me their product is over priced.

Derby are doing a reasonable deal for us. Giving extra few quid off if you buy more than 1 ticket. Hoping to get up for that one as my eldest is in uni there.

I'll be going to Leeds and Derby but I appreciate that I am very lucky to be able to afford it.

The club could help with the Leeds trip by paying for coaches to the game but they've always been much happier spending money on making away supporters have a great time in Cardiff than helping their own supporters follow the team to away games.

We'll have our usual welcome from the West Yorkshire Police no doubt and everyone at Leeds who'll make our trip there as uncomfortable and unpleasant as possible.

I knew the price would be high but I didnt think it would be £37. I'd love to go up there but I'm not paying that - it's ridiculous for championship football IMO. I'm going to the Derby county away instead which is a shorter trip and much cheaper! I also have heard that the Derby county ground is a great one to visit not having been there before! :bluescarf:

Derby's ground is ok for a new one. There's not alot around it apart from a few fast food places etc..

Home fans are friendly as are the stewards. Atmosphere is good.

Re: Leeds away £37

We should charge the away fans that come here the same as they charge our fans. So far on a point of principle I won't go to a game that is a rip off. £30 was the most I have paid for an away game and that was the shitheads and I even considered not going to that one. It costs more to watch away games in the Championship than the premier and that can't be right.
Time that fans started voting with there feet. I ain't going to Leeds and giving them £37 they can fook off.

What good is a few fans moaning when prob close to a thousand will still go. To be heard u all have to stand up together or not at all. Mass boycott . Its like the rebrand a lot accepting it. Sickening.

I'm with you on this Baked. For me it is not so much affordability, it is the fact that I know if I went I would be getting ripped off. In my younger and more stupid days, I would probably have moaned a bit and then paid up. I like to think I have an ounce or so more sense now, and if people or companies want to rip others off, that is up to them. One think I know though, they won't be getting a penny from me and I won't be helping to line the pockets of these rip off merchants. :old:

I tend to do 3 or 4 away games a season. This season i've done Forest, Burton, Fulham and Reading as well as the postponed game at Brighton. I take my 3 boys to the games and it costs a fortune even when tickets are at sensible prices. Going to Leeds would cost well over £150. I'm not going to line the pockets of the greedy Leeds owner.

Re: Leeds away £37

I feel sorry for those in their late teens, if they are on minimum wage they are going to have to put in at least a day's graft just to watch 90 minutes of football while helping to line the pockets of those greedy sods who would'nt get out of bed if they were only going to pick up the equivalent of a weeks worth of money for those on minimum wage. The rich get richer on the back of people who seem contented enough to be ripped off.

Imagine trying to hold us responsible for some sort of blame for Leeds ticket prices, howler.

Leeds shouldn't charge that price, simple.

Yeah the club should help out with maybe coach journey costs but the matter of the fact Leeds shouldn't charge that price for the ticket in the first place.. we shouldn't be held accountable for anything to do with the price structure at Leeds.

Have'nt read many threads on here today, anyone blaming Cardiff for these prices? As far as I can see, fans on here are having a dig at Leeds for this.

Learn to read then.

'We should boycott the game or send the tickets back' 'We should be knocking the price down off coach fares to Leeds' trying to hold us in someway responsible.

Re: Leeds away £37

Leeds has always been expensive, this is nothing new and we all paid more than this for many prem games and the 2009 game at emirates.

in fairness to Leeds their policing bills are higher than most and about half the revenue from away fans goes to west yorkshire police.

One person. Possibly more if you include helping out with coach price. Wait a minute, you suggested that as well. Perhaps I'll enroll in your reading class.

Just wondering if you went to most of the big clubs, man city I believe,I paid £40,the Leeds thing on here is getting a bit sad, while I agree they take the piss with prices, but it's nothing we haven't paid before,so season after season, why does this forum constantly bring it up,it's not just you it different poster, most of them paying higher entrance fees to get in to premiership grounds, other clubs sell out at Elland road, why is it cardiff fans calling to boycott the place??
