After another narrow defeat for Cardiff City yesterday against Norwich City,after virtually the same happening against Reading and Brighton.

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock: "Our players showed character kept pushing and pushing for a late equaliser, but it wasn't to be,we lacked an attacking spark," as Warnock freely admitted.

He added: "I thought there were a couple of lads below par but the subs brightened it up."

"We were just not clinical enough, but I think we've shown we can compete with clubs paying £7million for players. I'm pleased with how we're getting on really.

"But to be fair, with the money they spent on their squad, our goalkeeper didn't have too much to do. It's just the creativity and the clinical finishing that we miss really."

"Just a few more players and we will be right up there and beating sides like Norwich"

Gareth, 100% hes no mug and I rate him very highly and his record backs him up,up there with the best managers outside the Premier League and we are lucky to have him and now we need to keep him,which I think can happen

Choo speaks like a politician.

So he says he is not changing the manager. What he means there is that he does not want to change the manager. So the ball is in his court to go and invest or should I say he needs to persuade Tan to invest. For me that means a new goalkeeper, a winger and 2 strikers at least for this summers business because that is what Warnock made very clear. If that is not allowed to happen Warnock will be off.

That is not a conspiracy but the picture that has been drawn to us all from Warnock. Guess we are going to have to wait and see if he is allowed to colour in the numbers.

I've no doubt that this is another Rotheram senario.After guiding them to one of the most miraculous escapes I've ever seen he must have sat down with their owners but not liked what he was offered and the rest as they say.

A club who have recently fallen foul of FFP rules, massive debts, fighting relegation from the championship. stripping the squad to the bone, 10 wins from 30 games, you can't expect us to believe everything is a bed of roses. Debts are not going to vanish between now and August, and that is why I don't share the optimism for next season.

Warnock has done well.

He's kept to his side of the bargain. Let's see if the club keeps to theirs.

Plus how about the latest losses on Lambert,Huws,Amos and the mess up on Marshalls transfer, Lets be honest and straight The committee are messing up on virtually every transfer,yet managers get blamed.

I don't think we are disagreeing in the main but people can't blame the committee for all bad signings and not praise them for the good ones they must have signed off on the bamba hoilett and McGregor deals as much as they have signed off the poor players as well

Even good managers make poor appointments - history is littered with them

As for the DVP I don't disagree with the cull as successive managers have not seen anything worth bringing through surely they can't all be wrong so at least they get a chance at other clubs and off the payroll to allow other younger players a chance
