My point exactly, we are competing with sides every week who have spent vast sums of money. Just need that little bit extra which will take us to that extra level, not sure we could have improved massively during the Jan window without paying over the odds.

Your 100% right Gareth we are not far off :thumbright: Warnock knew what he wanted and I disagree if he had had them,we might be all still talking about the Play-offs instead of looking over our shoulders in the bottom half.

We will stay up this season :thumbright: :thumbright:

And hopefully next season Onwards & Upwards

Fair point with transfer window, I just think fans only look at it from a playing perspective which they will naturally. Maybe am getting more sensible with age or am putting my business hat on more often than not, but it's not always s simple people make out. I am also sick of the money wasted in Jan windows in the past, needs a sensible approach over the summer. I know many fans who are returning slowly.

The main difference yesterday for me was, they had one good chance and scored, we had one good chance but didn't score. We haven't got a clinical enough finisher.

Spot on mate. We're competing and we're not a million miles away from clubs that have spent stupid amounts of money. I'm glad we didn't spend money for the sake of it in January, I wouldn't say we're completely out of a relegation fight yet but I think we have enough to stay up and then kick on in the summer, Warnock will have a clear mind of what we need to bring in and I'm sure he will be able to do much better business in a proper transfer window. It was also nice to see the youngsters on the bench yesterday, not bringing in players will mean more opportunities for the likes of John, Healey and Harris. :ayatollah:

Not to disimilar to previous 2 games it's the chances we don't take that's the problem! And They didn't have a chance really the goal was opportunist by jarome!

Agree but if we could have strengthened we possibly could have made the play offs THIS season?.now if injuries take their toll we might go down.

Did half teams below us strengthen? Some actually sold best players! we won't go down but if do lose to many players won't win as many as we'd like
And definitely blown playoff chances now, if Exeter can go from bottom in Nov to play offs now e could have but not now! :old:

Never gonna happen.

We were destined for lower mid table before the window opened and we are destined for it when it closed.

Far better to let youth have a chance and look to build in the next window when we won't be held to ransom. :bluebird:

Exactly, it was never going to happen this season regardless.

this division is more difficult.
since this division became 24 teams .29years
the best any team has ever done of a 8pts or less from 11 game start { when we changed manager}.
was Leeds finishing 10th with 67 pts in 88/89.Oxford also managed 10th 2yrs later but with 61pts.

exeter having lost first 7 got to be a good bet for promotion
