" If backed, he can succeed "
We’ve seen it all before – when Neil Warnock is backed with sufficient funds he can work wonders. You just have to look at what he did at Queens Park Rangers in their 2010/2011 promotion season.
He guided the R’s to their first promotion in 15 years, and like at Queens Park Rangers, Warnock has the foundations at the Bluebirds for them to gain promotion to the Premier League, providing he’s backed by owner Vincent Tan.
" Proven Track Record '
Eight promotions says it all about Neil Warnock, he knows the game inside out, and the Bluebirds couldn’t be in better hands.
It’s clear that the performances under Warnock have been much improved. He’s guided the Bluebirds to 15th place in the Championship table, 10 points off the play-off places.
There is a real optimism surrounding the club, expectations will be high next season, and rightly so.
It’s about finding that right balance in the squad to compete. If the Bluebirds can do that they have every chance of returning to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated, in the 2013/2014 season.
" Warnock has summer to prepare for Promotion Push "
A summer of preparation could help the Bluebirds and Warnock push on next season, and Warnock will have the summer to drill into the players his expectations for next season. There’s no doubt that the group of players he has at his disposal now can help cement a play-off push with maybe one or two additions added, especially up front.
During his press conference after the Preston North End game on Tuesday night Warnock seemed to be disgruntled about not being able to sign a striker to challenge the in-form Kenneth Zohore, or even partner the 23 year-old up front.
The Bluebirds are missing out on that striker who can get you 15+ goals a season at the moment, but if they can manage to pen down a deal with a proven striker in the summer it could complete the package that the Bluebirds need to supplement their promotion bid.
