It must be really hard to be a supporter in Scotland, knowing the order of things every year.
Celtic win
Go into Champs League
Go into Europa League
Go home
I think the Scots Prem should deduct them 15 points at the start of the season and give Celtic the Champs league space if they
a) win outright
b) in top 3 within 3 points of the winner
Thoughts???

As Kevin Bridges said Scottish Football used to be a 2 horse race, now it's show jumping.
In the 70s Rangers were the richest club in Britian, then along came SKY and everything changed, now div 1 clubs can pay more than the top Scottish Clubs, apart from Celtic who have done well with CL Money but even they can't compete with clubs at the top of the Championship or bottom of the EPL.

Yes - they do need a handicap - I suggest they appoint OGS as Manager - that should even the league up!

That's a bit unfair - I 'd deduct the fuckers 100 pts

right, a honest answer here, yes celtic have made it a 1 team league. HOWEVER, someone stated "champions league, Europa league, home"....have you seen how much money you get for getting to Europe. the more celtic qualify, the more players of quality will join. which will help the other teams with regards to "co-efficiency" points which allows more teams from that league into Europe, which will help the other teams attract better players. I always get annoyed when people make fun of the Scottish league, especially when you look at our own league the WPL, TNS have made it a one team league, and the quality of football is pathetic in that league, all they can hope for is to win one or two qualifying rounds. and when you see Dundalk from the Northern irish leagues made the Europa league this year, that means out of the 4 home nations top divisions
you have
1st place. English Premier League
2nd place. Scottish Premier League
3rd place. Northern Irish Premier League
4th place. Welsh Premier League. and we are bottom of that by a country mile. if we ever want our country to produce top quality players on a regular basis, our premier league needs to improve drastically, otherwise we rely on the English teams to find a decent welsh lad, because our academy is shocking especially if all our players have gone, because bellamy deemed them not good enough, and Swansea haven't really produced any for a while

Scottish football requires a strong Old Firm, Jock will confirm this.Without as much it really is an irrelevance.Celtic fans, of which I am one , gloated at the demise of their adversary fools one and all. Without Rangers Celtic are souless, however many Tims are led by the nose through hatred and bigotry just like their adversaries. There is a saying be "careful for what you wish for".I sat with Gers fans in September 2016 in Krakov to watch the game no problem whatsoever has a few sherberts and enjoyed the afternoon. Yes there are louts and bigots on both sides yet what a rivalry ! Nothing down south to compare.Just my pennethworth.

Both clubs would do anything to get into the English pyramid system even at league 2 level but I can't see it happening , it means a club in the league would have to step aside or possibly the league would play 4 extra fixtures. They'd also have to buy off the clubs who've won promotion to league 1. I suppose Sky and BT ultimately call the tune and if they wanted to freshen up their "product" they could invite Glasgows big two, however the stumbling block in that scenario is UEFA, who are dead against Clubs from one league joining another, that said I believe women's teams have done it. Your views on the clubs needing each other, coming from a Jungle Jim like yourself, is very refreshing and sadly it's not a view the majority of Celtic fans. It's been said Scottish Football is hating its self to death.

Ryan in the 60s and 70s and 80s Scottish clubs were getting to European Finals and winning cups. Rangers Celtic Dundee Utd and Aberdeen all won Euro Trophies. The league has been weak since and with the TV money in England even lower league clubs can out bid Scottish sides, consequently the standard has dropped even more. Take Rangers and Celtic out the league and it would become a league of Wales or Ireland level.
