Warnock was today on talk sport and if anyone was listening sounded frustrated and some what upset.

We were not even able to properly compete for a £300,000 striker from Bristol Rovers or a Winger from a Scottish club Aberdeen and it has been stated we could not compete with Bristol City and it has been stated by the Aberdeen manager our bids were not really bids just changing figures around.

Warnock came to Cardiff with a proven record,No puppet/yes man, if you want to keep a manager like Warnock, you have to back him and I fully support Warnock and believe Cardiff City finally have the right manager after years of muppets.

Warnock in November,December and January stated the Cardiff City team needed strengthening now with a winger and a striker, which as we know to get quality players in these positions don't come cheap. Warnock was excited by the January transfers and in his own words "could not wait".

So if you look below Warnock has cut the wage bill even more after Russell Slade cut it considerable & Trollope cut it a little bit more.

Neil Warnock has stated clearly now for this coming Summer "back me or I am off"

Warnock's warning to #CardiffCity owners

"If you don't want to challenge, obviously you can get somebody else in"

Warnock will complete this season with Cardiff City,he keeps his word and he has told people I know that him and Tan will sit down in May again and discuss next season, but wants to be fully guaranteed he will be backed with money for next season to challenge for promotion :thumbright: :ayatollah:

My point of all this is,those that say we did not need to strengthen can not moan now how we play or any bad results that may come along or where we end up come May. I for one believe Warnock will keep us well above relegation but he will have to get 100% out of every City player left and hope for no serious injuries etc.

I personally believe as Warnock asked for a striker & a winger it means he felt he needed them & so should of been backed.

You can't continue to manage a club like on fresh air and promises

Make your mind up Annis.

You moan about the debt, you want Tan out yet you still moan when he doesnt give the manager millions to spend.

Double standards.

Never a dull moment at Cardiff City, if Tan wants his money back,he will back him  :ayatollah:

Re: " NEIL WARNOCK SHOULD OF BEEN BACKED "

Wed Feb 01, 2017 3:49 pm

i agree annis but it seems if we say that warnock should have been backed you get a mouthful from fans saying we shouldnt be wasting money, i dont think they get that you build a team with careful aquisitions not splashing cash like a kid in a sweet shop but if you stand still which is what we have done while all around us strengthen then theres no chance of us pushing for promotion next yr. warnock is very good but hes not a miracle worker, you cant expect him to get four or five players in for at most the 5m tan may make available and then hope they all hit the ground running. its not realistic. my biggest worry tho is warnock leaves and with it we lose the best manager we have had in over a decade

Re: " NEIL WARNOCK SHOULD OF BEEN BACKED "

Wed Feb 01, 2017 3:55 pm

I don't agree with not backing him. I think he didn't ask for much and I would be happy, with his record so far, that he's not going to waste a lot of money. Definitely worth backing him to the tune of the money we had saved anyway.

I am also a believer in not wasting money, as has been the norm at our club for too long! I just hope any money saved is made available to him in the summer.

A winger and a striker... I thought we would sign one. Probably more desperate of the winger, although the recent inclusion of Declan, does this mean he might be used as a wide midfielder, NW has done with Bennett. Think John could do a job there with a strong defence behind him?! Thoughts? We do also have Noone, Harris, Hoilett, Pilkington who can play wide. Even Whitts or Ralls at a push! IN regards to a striker, I hope Healey and Zohore will surprise us now!

Lastly, I do think we have a squad capable of easily staying up. There are three teams a lot worse than us. This is again due to NW and arguably his man management. This of the same group of players who were so poor in the first couple of months of the season!! Definitely cleared out the squad though, didn't realise how few players we have now!! Hopefully in preparation for the Summer of transfers!! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Imagine what he could do with a team of his own?!! :bluebird:

Re: " NEIL WARNOCK SHOULD OF BEEN BACKED "

Wed Feb 01, 2017 3:57 pm

Annis your very selective memory is off again
Warnock said and I quote zohore has just saved us £1.5 million
I know we need quality if we are going to aim for promotion but that is not going to happen this season .
But we do not need anyone to keep us up this season which I'm sure was warnocks brief when he took over so job done
You say warnocks will need to get 100%out of players ,we'll surely that's his job ,I doubt you mean if he signed a couple of players in this transfer window he would not need to get them to give 100% also ,
All players should give no less than 100% in all games
For once I have to agree with polo ,make up your mind ,what do you want ,new players with more debt ,or a debt free club ticking over in the championship consolidating for maybe a couple of seasons ,surely you won't tan gone don't you ,so why do you want him to invest more money and stick around

Good Post , I dont think some people on here know what they want other then lets Knock Tan.

They want him gone yet want him to spend more money and then moan that Tan has built up this debt :?

To be fair £300k is not millions. I agree, nobody can expect us to splash out big sums of money and to see the debt reduced at the same time. However, considering the players that have been offloaded, £300k does not seem an extortionate amount to ask for. I have no idea how desperate Warnock was for the player involved, but if he was unable to get £300k now, he is not likely to have much money available in the Summer either. I think he will be gone by the begining of June.

Re: " NEIL WARNOCK SHOULD OF BEEN BACKED "

I'll go one step further-some people are inventing a crisis when there isn't one.Gets hits though which is what counts on here :ayatollah:

Re: " NEIL WARNOCK SHOULD OF BEEN BACKED "

Wed Feb 01, 2017 4:15 pm

You can also look at how he said last night that he knows who he has in mind to bring in during the summer. That suggests he WILL be with us next season. The words he used last night makes it sound like he'll still be in charge.

I'm sorry but did we sign nobody in January? No, we strengthened in certain areas. We brought in a new goalkeeper, a versatile defender/midfielder and a young striker for the future.

January is a month to buy for emergencies, that's the way I see it. We don't have any emergencies because we're unlikely to go down or to make the top six. We could over-pay for players, when we can get a similar standard if not better in the summer. I'd prefer us to wait.

Kennedy, Ajayi, Le Fondre, Wilson, Huws and O'Keefe left on loan over the last couple of days. How often did they play under Warnock for us? Not often at all, so it doesn't really change much.

People say they wanted us to bring in a striker, and Warnock said that too. But crucially he said if it was the right player for the right price. Obviously that didn't materialise.

We got a great win last night, and I'd rather focus on that and the upcoming games rather than complaining about a transfer window where we did actually strengthen and got rid of players on loan who don't feature.

Re: " NEIL WARNOCK SHOULD OF BEEN BACKED "

Wed Feb 01, 2017 4:21 pm

tan obviously doesnt value warnock much, surely hes worth at the very least 1m to the club, thats all tan had to give warnock and i think he would have been happy, see at the end of the season if warnock walks we will all be screaming why didnt we back him

I do not see the point in spending £2-3 million on overpriced players when the target this season is now 4 wins from the remaining games.

I'm sure Neil Warnock will be backed next season.

What's more, other clubs excessive spending will come under scrutiny, when they fail to go up so they will be less of a threat.

Warnock himself has pretty much said the top two are as good as up so why spend big when only 1 further promotion place is available.

Let's not forget we had one of the biggest and highest paid squads in the Championship, and you only have to look at Aston Villa, to realise that spending big does not guarantee promotion.

I'm sure as soon as we reach 50 points a few of the new revamped development players will get game time and valuable experience.

Re: " NEIL WARNOCK SHOULD OF BEEN BACKED "

Wed Feb 01, 2017 4:28 pm

A lot of fans will never agree with anyone who dares to criticise the club. Yet every season we hear the same sort of stories. I remember not long back Trollope was the best thing that could have happened to us, fans really wanting Slade out and Trollope will fire us to the PL. When I suggested he may not be that good, a few on here had a dig at me. When I suggested that our squad was nowhere near good enough for promotion, and possibly may even struggle to finish mid table, the same people seemed to think I had lost my mind. The same fans were over the moon when we signed Lambert. we were on our way to the PL again. Now, the same people seem to think that Warnock will be given extra money in the Summer because he did'nt get what he asked for yesterday. I will say exactly the same as I did to those who had us down for automatic promotion this season, you are deluded if you think Warnock will be given the means to be serious promotion contenders next season.

If we were relegated Chris, the debt would be even bigger, we have had nearly three years of hardly any spending due to awful management from the top, now we finally have the right manager he needs backing.

Warnock has stated he does not want massive amounts.

Chris, why don't you be honest you don't like or rate Warnock.

Allan, surely Warnock's priority last night was to get 3 points from our game, and to move us further away from trouble. Once he had identified the player (and most on here were quite enthusiastic that he would be a good addition to the team) would'nt there be people at the club doing all the backroom dealings in getting this player here. I doubt if Warnock would have been heavily involved in the ins and outs of the contract, and would have had little to do with the paperwork side of things. His main duty would probably have stretched to the photo calls and standing alongside the player as the contract was signed.

i dont think he was desperate either. went for a kip and missed 40 phone calls? people not ringing him back ? and FA putting games on deadline day,
