Hugely overvalued and overrated. He's 26 and only played 6 Premier games for Middlesborough. Shows the Wild money in the modern game. Gestede and McCormack also fall into the same category. They must all have great agents because they are all basically Championship level strikers.

A finer example of a championship of panic buying you will not see

Let's see what happens with this one - back over 4 years ago on here i posted about this guy as a player to watch.

I Still think Rhodes can do a job in the Championship - Do i think that £10M Is correct = NO - More like half that fee.

Also as posted Rhodes farther or farther in law is a coach at SHEFF WEDS - They were linked with him last season.

I Can't see WEDS being in the top 2 at this moment but a play - off place at best is on the cards.

Tony, I agree. This is a massive 'throw of the dice' for Sheffield Wednesday and could (as Cardiff City FC now know all too well) have potentially serious consequences should it fail to win them promotion  :o

They've been very clever though. He only on loan this season, before the £10m deal agreed in the summer. This means, regardless of whether they go up this season or not, the transfer fee will have no impact on this season's FFP.

Personally, I hope they go up. Had a pre-season treble of them, Scunthorpe and Plymouth all to be promoted.

Thanks, Ned. Didn't realise that (been busy)

Yes, I think they were a little unlucky last year; a bit like us in the Blackpool era! LOL :laughing6:

I hope things are good with you? :ayatollah:

Just seen this Chris.

Yeah, I could always see them threatening to go up this season - very similar to us in the Dave Jones era.

All good for me thanks, hope you're well :thumbright:

Great win last night, Ned and looking good for a real push (I can actually see Brighton doing their annual nose dive soon) for the top two!

I'm fine thanks, Ned. Busy but getting on with life with a smile. As it says below, if nothing else it confuses the blighters! LOL :laughing6: :ayatollah:

He'll be worth 10 million to them if he fires them to promotion though.
