Tonight’s programme notes from the gaffer

It goes without saying how disappointed I’ve been with the results at Reading on Saturday and Brighton in midweek. I’m sure those of you who turned up to both grounds in your numbers were too. I must say how pleased we were with your support in both games though, right up to the end; it’s great to see the away ends full at both places and the noise was fabulous. I think that with a little bit of luck on each occasion we could have won those fixtures. I have to say that shows just how far we’ve come in a short time and how close we are.
Yes, we need additions, but at the time of press on deadline day I don’t know if we’ll be welcoming anybody in during this window.
