' THIRD CARDIFF CITY PLAYER TO LEAVE '

' UPDATED '

BOLTON JUST CONFIRMED SIGNING OF ADAM LE FONDRE FROM CARDIFF CITY ON LOAN TILL JUNE.

Ben Wilson loaned to Rochdale till June saving City approx £1,000 a week.

Semi Ajayi joined Championship rivals Rotherham on loan till June saving approx £4,000 a week.

Bolton could not afford all his wages, so City have saved half his wages.

Cardiff City outcast Adam le Fondre is set to join League One side Bolton Wanderers in a permanent deal TODAY.

Bolton were not in a position to afford to keep Le Fondre last season, but with his Cardiff City current contract running down and Bolton needing promotion from Division one

it is believed Le Fondre is currently on between £20,000-£25,000 a week with the Bluebirds and they have had to sort a settlement out with the Striker.

The 30-year-old striker is currently on loan with Wigan Athletic but has started only three times for the Championship outfit so far this season.

He previously played for the Trotters during the second half of the 2014/15 campaign - scoring eight times in 17 appearances for the club.

Adam Le Fondre is currently at the Macron Stadium to discuss terms over a move to join Phil Parkinson's side on a permanent basis.

The forward has scored only one goal in 13 appearances for Wigan so far this season and has not featured for the Bluebirds since their 3-2 defeat to Norwich City at Carrow Road in January 2015.

He joined Cardiff from Reading in 2014 but struggled to make a real impact in the Welsh capital having scored only three times in 21 appearances for the club.

The striker joined Bolton midway through the 2014/15 campaign where he made an instant impact before being sent out on loan to Wolves and Wigan.

Bolton are currently third in the League One table and it is thought Parkinson wanted to bolster his attacking options by signing the Cardiff outcast as he attempts to strengthen his side's promotion hopes.

Martin, He became complacent and very very expensive to us.

He has cost us, shall we say a fortune.

Ajayi £4000 a week! :o :o :o

That's £200,000 a year for a player who, to be frank, is nowhere near the first team!

Unbelievable - no wonder football (and our club especially) is in such a mess!

Paying them that much and them playing that good are miles apart. Sounds like a lot of them are a bit dilusional and not in our world?

It is mad.

While we've been desperate for a striker for 2 years now, the amount of deadwood and running cost is massive.

While ole wrecked our finances following the Malky saga
I think the appointment of Trollope was a disaster as he had no pre-season and we put all our eggs in the Lambert basket.

I obviously think that Fred and Kenny are still an example of the mad man meddling but we now have THE most experienced manager in delivering promotion in my lifetime. And his hands are tied?!?!

It is mad how football has turned around from footballers being used to clubs being used.

FuckenAgents :banghead:

Le Fondre is what a lot of modern footballers are - an average player - who is clearly in the game for money only. He has no heart. He used Cardiff City.

He was "homesick" yet had no qualms about signing for Reading when they were in the Premier League.

If he was so homesick, why didn't he cancel his contract and move back up north.

At least Immers did the right thing .

In someways , FFP is a blessing in disguise

Adam Le Fondre: Bolton sign Cardiff striker on loan until end of season

Bolton have signed Cardiff City striker Adam Le Fondre on loan until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old spent time on loan with Wanderers in 2015, scoring eight goals in 17 league appearances.

He started the season on loan with Wigan but scored just once in 12 league games for the Latics.

Le Fondre, who has also had spells with Rochdale, Rotherham and Reading, could feature for the League One promotion hopefuls in Saturday's trip to MK Dons.
