Sky Bet Championship strugglers Blackburn Rovers have confirmed on their official website the return of loanee Marvin Emnes from Premier League outfit Swansea City.

The 28-year-old spent the first-half of the season at Ewood Park having been brought in by manager Owen Coyle, and has netted on three occasions in 19 appearances for the Lancashire side.

Emnes returns to Blackburn on a loan deal until the end of the campaign, with his contract in south Wales expiring this summer he may become a permanent fixture at Rovers.


The former Netherlands under-21 international made a name for himself at Middlesbrough but signed for Swansea following a successful loan period at the Liberty Stadium.

Marvin Emnes moved to England in 2008 when he arrived on Teeside from Sparta Rotterdam and has played in over 200 games in this country since.
