" My local team over here are having to move "

http://www.annisabraham.co.uk/2017/01/2 ... move-home/ :bluescarf:

Atletico Baleares from next season will have to move to another ground for the 3rd time in the last 5 years as their originally ground is crumbling and needs 9mill euros to repair it and their ground they are in now is to small if they want promotion.

So the German owner of Atletico Baleares has signed a three year deal with Inca ( a club in the lower divisions again) that from next season we share their ground, but guess what it's 50 kilometres away(approx 38miles), so every game is now an away game for Atletico Baleares and their fans.

The Baleares fans are in uproar, they currently have 2,340 season ticket holders incl my daughter and myself.
It will be interesting in how many Renew?

Why does it always happen to me
I was happy to not know the politics of a football club again after Cardiff City's for 43 years and now this :bluescarf:

Anyway onwards and upwards as us Cardiff City fans say  :bluebird:

Christian Ziege Is currently the manager ex Liverpool / Spurs player and capped 72 times for Germany.

German Owners spending big money, but Atletico fans fuming

Wez, If I had the £millions I think I would help them, three years ago the President of Atletico emailed me asking me to meet him, I turned him down as I just want to be a fan and enjoy football again :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

The Atletico Baleares original ground since 1920/Love old grounds

Capacity 20,000 will cost 9mill euros to play there again

Visited there about 20 times, liked them because they were BLUE & The Ground :thumbright: :thumbright:

Goes to show we are not the only club that's had issues, what crowds do they have? Imagine a Spanish away day !!
How do you connect with a club that's not ccfc? Interested. Tried watching Chelsea as my adopted team " decent team " many years ago but no feeling, flat, remember Liverpool scoring and I just shrugged my shoulders and that was the last time I watched a neutral game.

Gareth,

They have big problems.

I was fuming over the Rebrand and my mate said come and watch Mallorca his team for 40 years.
I said yes then realised they were Red
He said come and see our rivals, who hate us, but they are Blue so you will be happy :bluescarf:
I went along and loved their passion, they were getting 5,000 crowds then in their real ground.
Theres only one real club for me "CARDIFF CITY" But I love Football and like small clubs.

You always love your first club and no other club compares :bluebird: :bluebird:

Since I started watching them, they have had to move to Magaluf, the current ground in Palma they share with a a very small club and now they will be moving 50 kilometres away for 3 years until they raise 9mill euros.

They are currently 7th in Division Two B,then theres Div 1,then La Liga.

They have over 2,000 season ticket holders, but crowds are now barely 2,500.

When they play Mallorca, real hatred the whole crowd pulls their trousers down and shows their arses to their fans.
Mallorca fans are always well protected by Guardia Civil.

Baleares fans are the real football fans of the Islands :thumbright: :thumbright: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Gareth, I don't like their current ground, but at least its waling distance for the Baleares fans. Its about 12miles from where I live :thumbright: :ayatollah:

They've just signed ex Leeds United striker Becchio,he made his debut last Sunday and scored the only goal for them to win 1-0.

How come it's going to cost so much Annis? Doesn't look to bad from the photos? I'm guessing it doesn't meet the criteria or something or is it just completely run down?

Underneath it's like an old coliseum, but the pillars etc are crumbling, I love the ground

After drawing their last 9 games signing a couple of new players Atletico Baleares have won their AWAY game today and won last week at home,Its surprising what a couple of new signings can do, now 5pts off play offs :thumbright:

I'm the same as you Annis, if I lived somewhere else I would a adopt a local team and not just the bigger team but one that shows the passion etc.
You soon get to know styles and the players and whilst you'd never have the same feelings as the City it would be the next best thing.
I love neutral games myself.

38 miles away Annis,

Kills me to think travelling that distance in the sun with a slight breeze wearing shorts and shades. Stopping off at a canteena on route. Cor it sounds like hard work that ha ha

Karl, that's exactly what it will be like for me  but to the Atletico fans it won't be in Palma and that hurts as that's where they live :sleepy2:
