My opinion its looking a bit more positive, Neil Warnock has now on numerous times stated he wants to stay next season at Cardiff City, has said he does not want massive amounts of money and I can't see the committee failing to let him down :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

' Neil Warnock:"I am just asking them to spend a bit more"

Neil Warnock after yesterdays away defeat to Reading in the Championship.

Sunday 29th January 2017

“I wish I'd been here last summer. It's not for me to criticise but they have spent a lot of money – and now I'm asking them to spend a bit more. It's easy for me to say because it's not my money.

“So until this summer the club's got to keep powder dry and look at what's available then because the league is wide open to get promotion."

“The fans are really behind me, and I think the owners are – we just have to find a way to get those three, four, five players to supplement what is a very hard working side with a good spine. We need another leader up top, but at the moment it's just a matter of me being frustrated after games like this and wishing we were a couple of months down the line.”

Yann Kermorgant's second-half free-kick was the difference between the two sides after a Joe Ralls penalty cancelled out John Swift's opener, Cardiff unable to get anything from a push for a winner as they matched up to the third-placed Royals.

But Warnock is said he'd be happier playing rubbish and getting points after the second defeat in a week, warning the threat of the drop isn't over yet.

I really hope there is a way of giving NW some backing this summer. At the end of the day it's really hard to make a purse out of a pigs ear and that just about sums up our striking department.

We won't progress until we find a way of putting the ball into the net on a more regular basis. The obvious starting point is a decent 15-20 goals a season striker supplemented with goals from midfield and defenders at set pieces.

We also need to ditch the 30 grand a week on over the hill players experiment as it has never worked for us and invest in younger more hungry players willing to prove a point.
