I thought when Lewis burst onto the scene he would provide more of a challenge but again Taylor had him sussed.
The emergence of Van Gerwen Anderson and possibly Wright has taken darts to a new level of which Taylor can't sustain the consistency he once displayed. He still in his day is a top player and you can never imagine being beat with a losing average of 115 plus![]()
Taylor the darts player help made darts but agreed Hearn and Sky took a gamble and I can remember the first season of premier league darts with sell outs of 1000 people - now we have attendances of over 10,000 and with the right venue and players it will not be long before we see 15,000 plus

Correction. WAS something else. Fear factor has gone now. He can't beat up the likes of MVG, Anderson and Wright like he used to Painter, Mandley, Mardle.etc
MVG now he is something else. Gary Anderson is my favourite player but you got to give it to MVG he is the best player there's ever been.

More sweeping generalizations from a typical anti oval ball Cardiff fan. All Football fans are there for the love of the game I suppose![]()
Majority of our support at times in the past has been there for a piss up and a punch up especially away from home with the Football being a secondary factor.
I wonder how many would have gone to Reading today if there were no home fans and alcohol never existed, not 2,000+ thats for sure.

Yes I watch Darts on the TV and I have been to see it live many times, some people are there purely to watch the darts, some people are there for the atmosphere and some are there for a piss up, whilst some are there for all 3.
I agree that is the same for the Six Nations....... and Wimbledon, The Ashes, The Olympics, The Snooker, Big Boxing Matches, The Cheltenham Festival and the list goes on and on and on, add Euro 2016 to the list as that was the latest bandwagon to be jumped on with 1,000's of 'Welsh Football Fans' suddenly appearing out of the woodwork.
Maybe you were being genuine and I have taken your post the wrong way and if I have I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and apologize but I read it like you were singling out and having a pop at Rugby when I personally think all sports are the same.
