How are we taking over 500 more to reading than we did to Bristol? No rivalry and further away and coming off a defeat albeit against a very good Brighton team. Maybe the posters who said the ko time and the price coupled with previous restrictions were not making excuses but actually had a point. Discuss.

20 years ago i'd agree with you, but taking two teenage girls i prefer the safer option

Ticket prices costs £25 for 1 adult 1 child tomorrow. But cost me £45 for Bristol I know transport cheaper for Bristol but as you said way up kick off time etc

If Bristol City was a 3 kick off I'd say we'd have sold a fair few more, someone also mentioned the fact that people feel that they can take their younger kids etc to Reading without fear.
This will be the second time in as many Saturday away games for City that we are going to take over 2k fans, I think it's great that the crowds are coming back especially away, they were always my favourite days following Cardiff over the years.

i associate Bristol with huge police presence { which there was }. and possibly being given a hard time by them { it was fine }.
add to that its one of the more expensive games and is played 3 hours before what the civilised football comunity regard as the optimum KO time.

Bristol to some families known for trouble and over policing.
Plus the price for Reading is virtually a give away for families

Fans are usually right as regards price as its them putting their hands in their pockets, I don't understand how clubs can't see this. You only have to do the maths, by dropping the ticket price they have in my opinion pulled in an extra 1,000 fans and in addition more drink and food sales. Everybody is a winner. I don't know who come up with twenty is plenty but as a fan it's about right isn't it? It's a happy medium, club still makes a few quid and the fan doesn't feel he or she is paying over the odds.
This should be replicated with lots of clubs.

Policing at Bristol is still restrictions even though it's "no restrictions" . When we left spoons we were escorted to ground nothing new I know but they restricted us to snails pace so roughly 250 of us missed kick off

I think you may also be surprised how many we will take to Leeds also. Cardiff fans are fed up with Leeds always saying we don't turn up at their place so wait and see.
