" POLL: SEASON TICKET RENEWALS "

Wed Jan 25, 2017 1:54 pm

Christmas is over and it's nearly that time of year again; when Cardiff City FC produce their premature Season Ticket 'Early Bird' offer for the next season well before the outcome of the current season is known and in the past it has largely worked because Cardiff City FC have generally had something to offer, e.g. Cup Finals, promotions, play-offs, etc.

Given Neil Warnock's apparently repeated "Back me or I'm off!" comments of late, there has been some debate as to whether his comments are reflective of the conversation he had recently with Vincent Tan; or simply a clever manager making his position clear via the media

We all have (often differing) opinions but could the perceived silence from Vincent Tan after last week's meeting influence your Season Ticket renewal?

I will as always renew my ST as soon as they go on sale and I'm sure there will be many others who will do the same. However the club should be aiming at getting back the thousands who have stopped buying season tickets over the last 2 - 3 years.

In my opinion the club should wake up to the fact that their biggest marketing tool at this moment is Neil Warnock and they should remove all and any doubt about his position. The club should make a statement that the manager will be supported this summer to develop the squad into one capable of challenging for promotion.

Even promise to match like for like all monies raised from ST sales over and above the number sold this season. Anything to keep NW at the club as in my opinion it's so so important he is here next season.

your right but dalman does this every yr anyway, says we are going to back our manager and push for promotion then we bring in practically nobody and the crowds disappear more cos we all feel we've been lied to again.lets hope tan has learnt from previous mistakes rather than continue with his "i know best " attitude

Let's be honest if the club want to create a buzz so people get their season ticket,s they just need to announce that Warnock is signed up for next year.

They don't need to mention he has been backed financially with xxx amounts of cash. The fact that he remains next year will speak volumes.

Let's be honest here the club is moving in the right direction, this doesn't mean there will be millions to invest in to players in the summer.
The only problem I have is with the free ticket give always that happened at the end of last season,as a season ticket holder I just felt let down a bit.
Yes Im renewing

Gary, your post pretty much reflects my own position and thoughts on the subject

I've had conversations with a few long-term season ticket holder friends and I am surprised at the number amongst them who have 'lost heart' in recent times. It seems that the overriding perception is one of 'lack of ambition' even though most appear to understand that the club/Tan are desperately trying to put the club on a sound financial footing above all else

Neil Warnock is, in my opinion, the best thing to happen to the club for quite some time. He knows his football, particularly in this Division, and he has quickly built a good rapport with our fans

Having employed him in the first place, I cannot see Vincent Tan not supporting Neil Warnock if he can steady the proverbial ship and move things forward at the CCS during the remainder this season. For me, this is too good an opportunity to miss and hopefully Vincent Tan can see the gulf of quality between Neil Warnock and his three previous appointments :ayatollah:

I will along with my son as per usual. That said, just prior to NW joining us, I spoke to many long-term ST holders who commented that the way things were going, they may not renew next season and be selective on games which changed as soon as NW was on board. Its vital that NW stays and that the club shows the ambition that he will be backed as folks will renew on that basis and when we are doing well, I've no doubt that may more fans will choose to return, which is the way it goes these days.

I totally agree with you, & Im sure there are a lot of fans who will wait & see how things develop with NW. If he walks at the end of the season, imo, so will thousands of City fans.

I wonder if our Club realizes this?

agree with this.
no need to tell every club in the country we have millions

If I waited for the club to show ambition then I wouldn't renew most seasons. I renew based on the fact of can I afford it for me and my boy and then if the answer is yes then I renew. My love for club surpasses current owners managers or players.

Maybe we need to accept that we have always been a small club and always will be

I don't care because all things being equal I will be there come august and those who want to find reasons not to be - no ambition no investment wrong manager wrong players it's slightly cloudy etc etc. will find the reason not to go

I would renew anyway whatever the decision because I guess you just never know what glory or turmoil the new season may bring but I think I may hold off abit at first to see what the club are going to do.

I'll always renew as long as I can afford it and support the team regardless of the situation on or off the field.
