How tan will support warnock for next season

Sun Jan 22, 2017 12:38 pm

Tan will allow warnock to use the budget we will have for next season anyway he deems necessary .
This budget will be reliant on our income streams and within ffp
So those calling for tan to give warnock money to spend have no idea how football clubs are run today .
I believe warnock will be here next season ,and will clear out the last remaining dead wood and sell players he doesn't want ,
Hence creating wriggle room for him to bring in the 4/5 players he says he needs .
Niel warnock is a canny operator, and he won't want others knowing what we got to spend
Those that say tan wants out and he won't spend are probably right , but that doesn't mean he don't want us as high in the league as possible ,and will surely let warnock use the budget as he sees fit .
All this speculation about next season is just that speculation ,we still have a job to complete for this season ,as poor as yesterday's game was ,I take a lot from the fact that he had some youngsters on the pitch that didn't look out of place .

I would be more than happy if we don't waste money this window and go with what we got ,give the youngsters more game time ,and allow warnock to do his stuff in the summer

But we have to remember the budget will be determined by our income streams and not tans wallet as ffp has put paid to owners just putting money in

Part of the problem is that we have virtually no "saleable" assets.

There are very few players who would command a decent fee for.

The only players for me with a value of £1m or more would be Bamba, Gunnarson and err.....

Bith Manga and Hoillett are out of contract at the end of the season.

Can't see any of other players being in demand unfortunately.

FFP allows clubs to lose an aggregate of £39m over any 3 year period. Currently our cycle is lost £8m in 2014, made £3m in 2015 and we should be on target to at least break even this time due to VT writing off £8m of debt and further funding of £5m. So in theory our losses over the past 3 years could be as 'low' as £5m meaning possible wriggle room as our losses would be £34m short of the maximum, but of course if our losses this season are high then that wriggle room would be less.

Other clubs who have 'gambled' have done so by front loading this 'debt' to finance a promotion push. Bournemouth are a classic example and I believe Brighton have done something similar.

From my understanding NW is looking for £5-£10m plus anything else he could generate from shifting players out although it comes with the risk that if it fails then years of cost cutting (plus transfer embargos) will almost certainly follow.

Of course we can all do our bit by renewing our season tickets when they go on sale shortly.

This is a sellers market. The only serious bid i can see will be for gunnar as there are one or two lower premier clubs that could do with a "stopper" upgrade.

I think we'll do enough not to be relegated so selling Nooney may also free up salary and give a couple of youngsters a shot, not sure who'd need him though ?

If we did manage to get 4 points from the next week that may change our owners mind though. :bluescarf:

Exactly, he's stating the bleedin obvious. It's a sticky because, as Annis has stated, he gets upset if he's ignored.

most of the speculation was caused by our managers remarks about being backed.
Warnock himself seems uncertain.
as for how football clubs are run {today} all differently to one another with various degrees of gambling.
