How would warnock go about moving it over, perhaps to bamba or gunnars, without causing unrest in what is a newly settled squad?

warnock wouldn't be afraid to change it now so morrison must be the captain he wants. I never get why people want a captain change so much. morrison may be a good captain off the pitch that keeps morale up and puts his arm around players, we really don't know do we. There's more to a captain than just shouting on the pitch.
plus Gunnar or bamba don't have to have a black band around their arms to shout and lead by example. you can still drive people on. Morrison is a scapegoat nowadays but there's a reason he's the first centerback on the team sheet with our managers even when the likes of Bruno, bamba, connolly etc are all fit.

I'm not 100% convinced with him as a captain. But as you say there's more to it than the 90 mins we see. And I agree with you about the scapegoat part I have commented about this many times. He's a massive threat and dominant in the air we should be praising him.
