Hopefully, but i dont think he will, it will be either Jazz or peltier a left back today I reckon which isn't ideal as neither are left footed.

Hope to god Declan John plays for us. We have only ever won 6 times when he's been on the pitch for us.

He isn't good enough for this level he's one of the players that needs to be moved on.

So why are you hoping he plays?

Let's see how many times peptide will get done on his left side today then. At least with Declan he's left footed and hasn't had a sniff under NW

He hasn't had a sniff because he's not good enough.

Being left footed means nothing if you can't defend.

What the f**k are you going on about now, they're talking about a left back. whitts plays in the center so really being left footed doesnt have much to do with his position or defending your just using it to have a dig

What has Declan John done to upset so many on here?

The kid played 20 games in the Premier League at age 18 and did nothing wrong, he was our best player in a few games.

He never got a chance under Slade who most people on here think is one of the worst managers we have ever had and was doing really well out on loan at Chesterfield before he got injured.

Did really well in pre-season this year, started the season and got rave reviews for his performances against Birmingham on the opening day among others but Warnock prefers Bennett at the moment.

He may or may not turn out to be good enough, we will have to see but I don't see how people can have made their mind up on him already when he hasn't done anything wrong or had a fair sustained run in the team.

He's made 35 appearances for City that is more then enough for me to make my mind up about him.

Sounds like he found his level at chesterfield. He was never one of our best players in the premier league. It says it all when the only managers to really play him where ole and Trollope. There judgement on players speaks for itself.

Malky is the one who deemed him good enough to be thrown into the Premiership at 18 not just Ole or Trollope so if your going to have a pop at a manager's judgement's he is your starting point on that one not the two you have singled out. I also said he was our best player in a 'few games' not one of our best players in the Premier League, that's a fact.

When we drew 0-0 at Stoke under Malky, John was immense, he was one of the only players to come out of the game with any credit.

Out of those 35 games, 20 were in the PL season and 8 were at the start of this season, in those games I don't understand how people can come to the conclusion he is 'shit'.

I think he has bags of potential and needs a proper chance over a season to show it.

I'd like to see both John and O'Keefe given a chance as subs, but I think Warnock is open to change and proved it yesterday by bringing on Kennedy and Healey , taking a risk, and ultimately changing the game.

Well I think he should be sold we've no need for defenders who can't defend.
