I did say a long long time ago that marshy is not prem quality and hull fans tend to agree. Some fans on here are deluded about how talented he is. Don't get me wrong I would love to see him back here in the championship. We should have went for Hennessey when we had the chance.

Can't agree with any of that to be honest

Have any of thought that Mrs M might have been 'advised' to withdraw her comments?? ;)

Nor me !!

He had one full Prem season and was widely acknowledged by press, pundits, managers, players and fans as being one of the best keepers in the Premiership that season, what more does he have to do to prove he's "prem quality" ?

They proof is in his performances, for cardiff he was outstanding made some brilliant saves, unfortunately for him his time at Hull at the moment doesn't seem to be working out, some of the games I ve seen he does seem at fault for the goals, the one he punched in was not the keeper we know

IS HIS WIFE WELSH?

Re: 'It was a joke!'

Mon Jan 16, 2017 12:13 pm

she's not welsh but loves wales as did marshy.

Marshy is prem quality, he's just playing in a complete toilet of a side!

With keepers, when you find your comfort, you can be one of the best! some moves just never work out

TOTALLY AGREE,JUST COS ONE MOVE DOESNT WORK DOESNT MAKE U A BAD PLAYER

If he is half as good as people on here think he is then we will not have a cat in hells chance of signing him as at least one or two Premiership Clubs will come in for him aswell as some top end Championship Clubs.

Yes he had a decent season in the Premiership for us but that tends to happen when Goalkeepers are getting bombarded week in week out they make saves, Tom Heaton is doing it now and getting rave reviews whilst its only a few years ago many of our supporters thought he was dogshit.

I'm not knocking him, I think he is a top end Championship Keeper and would take him back but he isnt as good as some make out.

According to Annis last night Cardiff have actualy asked about a Loan move so if his source is correct there could still be legs in this story yet.

That season was 3 years ago and your right he was very good,so was Noone (Man City away).Things change and so does form so you can't use that. But yes I would take him back.

Have you watched the Hull defense? they are to blame for many of Hulls goals conceded, including the one Marshy put into his own net, the centre half barged into him

Didn't you follow our season in the PL? We would have been down before Christmas had it not been for his consistent top class saves

lets be honest though if she hadn't tweeted that, there wouldn't be any rumour of his loan move. as soon as I seen the tweet, I said watch someone on the forum put something up about us trying to get him back.

I honestly don't know anyone who thought that. Most folks I know thought (quite rightly) that we had the two if the best keepers outside the prem. at the same time...

Heaton uses to get loads of shit mate, Marshall did at first aswell, same with Hudson, Cardiff fans are a fickle bunch to say the least.

Spot on. When Marshall was injured with an elbow injury for the season, it was potential disaster. Heaton stepped up and was incredible and we all wished him well when he moved on, as he's too good two be a number two, even to a proven GK like Marshall. I honestly don't get it with the Marshall criticisms, as the reality is that we were very lucky in having two crackerjack GK's who showed how important, misunderstood and unappreciated this specialist position is when they have gone.

All players have a shelf life at the elite levels but I can guarantee you that if Marshall returns, there will be an immediate impact on results. He wants to be here for all the right reasons and that, combined with ability is what makes him special at Cardiff.

And when certain 'off the cuff' comments are played down, that's because its the truth. Many of us have thought a move back would be logical and I hope it happens quickly.

People can play it down now if they want or re-write history and pretend it never happend but a large amount of our fan base used to give Heaton dogs abuse and say he was shit and never good enough. It was the same with Marshall, he was never good enough for lots of our fans during the early years. Hudson was another and there are plenty more that I could name. As I said Cardiff fans in general are fickle as f**k.

We did, Ole saw to that. But like I said, that fate would would have been sealed alot earlier if it wasnt for Marshall.

To be fair he was probably our best player that season but it still wasn't enough.

Aye that's a fair point about Hudson - I remember his first season he got a load of grief - I never came across anyone slagging Heaton off myself mind - but that's not to say it didn't happen. :ayatollah:

The only city fan I can ever recall having a bad word to say about Heaton was Dai Hunt after we lost the first leg of semi final against palace. He was fuming
