Can't agree with any of that to be honestDahboy wrote:I did say a long long time ago that marshy is not prem quality and hull fans tend to agree. Nor me !!
He had one full Prem season and was widely acknowledged by press, pundits, managers, players and fans as being one of the best keepers in the Premiership that season, what more does he have to do to prove he's "prem quality" ?

Marshy is prem quality, he's just playing in a complete toilet of a side!
With keepers, when you find your comfort, you can be one of the best! some moves just never work out

According to Annis last night Cardiff have actualy asked about a Loan move so if his source is correct there could still be legs in this story yet.

Didn't you follow our season in the PL? We would have been down before Christmas had it not been for his consistent top class saves

I honestly don't know anyone who thought that. Most folks I know thought (quite rightly) that we had the two if the best keepers outside the prem. at the same time...

Spot on. When Marshall was injured with an elbow injury for the season, it was potential disaster. Heaton stepped up and was incredible and we all wished him well when he moved on, as he's too good two be a number two, even to a proven GK like Marshall. I honestly don't get it with the Marshall criticisms, as the reality is that we were very lucky in having two crackerjack GK's who showed how important, misunderstood and unappreciated this specialist position is when they have gone.
All players have a shelf life at the elite levels but I can guarantee you that if Marshall returns, there will be an immediate impact on results. He wants to be here for all the right reasons and that, combined with ability is what makes him special at Cardiff.
And when certain 'off the cuff' comments are played down, that's because its the truth. Many of us have thought a move back would be logical and I hope it happens quickly.
