Marshalls missus hinting?

Sat Jan 14, 2017 9:03 pm

Surely this got to be some hint at a loan deal or something? Things haven't worked at hull and Marshall could be pivotal

More like... hes not in the team and would come back?

We would be stupid not to get him in if it was possible

Just checked her twitter and at face value, confirms he never wanted to leave. Come home Marshy, we miss you. Hope NW sorts it out tonight with VT.

He's always kept his social profile private and his dealings quietly professional and all to his credit. A lot of us suspected despite the 'official' statement that he didn't want to go and I sure hope that its an indication of the possibility that he'll return to the club where he really belongs. And if he does, I hope he sees his career out with us and goes on to coach. :ayatollah:

This without doubt has legs, I would speak to Marshall regular as our children did the same activities. Happy settled and while never say never as we found out, never seemed he wanted to go. He's unfortunate that hull were awful at the back, that did not help and a mistake or two later he's out of the team. We made a mistake, a big one. Bring the lad home where he belongs and can go on to be a Cardiff legend. We need him he needs us, his missus obviously feels the Same. Sometimes gk are underestimated.

Probably more to do with the fact he's been dropped their last 3 games since the new manager come in and is clearly now the number 2

From what I hear, she misses Cardiff as a place to live. Not much more into it.

Would be shocked if he returned this month or in the summer.

I'm sure this is more it, Marshall could stay on a higher when at Hull but wants to come home and play for city.

Hull still owe us lots of money, with their win today they could be the team to stay up, then they have to pay us £1.25m, so Hull let us have him back and forget about paying us anymore money :laughing6:

Ned, I stated for a long time that Marshall was not actively 'looking' for a move from Cardiff City FC and you have hit one of the main reasons on the proverbial head in one short sentence! :ayatollah:

Of course he didn't want to go. It was all Tan......what a businessman, selling our assets!
Massive mistake a week or so after his obvious deputy was sold.
Really hope he comes back, because when McGregor is fit he'll be third choice at Hull.

It would be great to have him back we've missed him and would have many more points if he stayed, I hope it happens ............

I wouldn't look into a twatter post from some WAG too much.

Depends what you are reading into the tweet.

Agree if we are thinking Marshall may be coming back.

But as an indication as to how much regard the Marshall's have for Cardiff, it is fantastic and could bode well for the future.

David Marshall's wife sends Cardiff City fans into meltdown with tantalising tweet

Bluebirds fans just can't contain themselves!

One thing is clear, David Marshall is still very much loved by Cardiff City fans.

When he left the club for the bright lights of the Premier League last summer, there was no outrage from the Bluebirds faithful but more of an acceptance that he deserved his move to the top flight.

Widely regarded as the best stopper in the Championship, a move away was inevitable but things haven't exactly gone to plan for the Scot.

He was conceding over two goals per game in the Premier League up until he was dropped by new manager Marco Silva earlier this month.

Fans' favourite Eldin Jakupovic has started the last three games and fans in the North East have turned on the former Bluebirds No.1.

In the wake of Hull's 3-1 over Bournemouth yesterday - a game Marshall watched from the bench - his wife took to Twitter to send a teasing message.

.." She tweeted.

Well, as it happens, they are.

Ben Amos' disastrous run of form has led to him being dropped by Neil Warnock, with Brian Murphy filling in for the time being.

But Warnock is said to be keen to find a permanent replacement for Amos and Murphy is not the permanent answer.

Though the tweet from Marshall's wife got Cardiff City fans very excited a return is pretty unlikely but they can still dream.

@_22misha don't bloody do this to us!!!!! I'll donate my life savings to have him back! Ps I don't have any but it's the thought that counts

@_22misha yes we are bring him home

@_22misha Yes!! Have you seen ours lately?! #BringBackMarshall

@_22misha @FansCCFC take him back in a heart beat, should never have been allowed to leave, best keeper we've had at Cardiff

@_22misha ill do a few trips up there and collect all your belongings if you like?

@_22misha I'm begging Mr Warnock we need OUR NUMBER 1 back! Davids a bluebird and always will be he was a crucial part in our promotion push

@_22misha I'll give you my soul to have Dave the save back

She's just said it wasn't serious, she was just feeling homesick and 'didn't want to offend'.

Bless her, she clearly doesn't realise how much he's missed

I think you'll have trouble picking up either.
Villa are looking to bring in Rhodes and around 10 mil is being touted so we've got zero chance!

Meanwhile, Warnock revealed he was in talks to bring a Premier League goalkeeper to the Cardiff City Stadium, and said he would not have sanctioned former keeper David Marshall's move to Hull City last summer.

"If I had been here all season I would have desperately gone out of my way to make sure he didn't leave," he added.

"We lost two goalkeepers on the last day [of the transfer window] and didn't recruit anybody, which has really snookered me really.

"I've been looking to get a permanent goalkeeper in now, I've made two offers for players which have both been turned town and now I'm trying to get somebody on loan from the Premier League."
