ASHON GATE

Sat Jan 14, 2017 5:40 pm

Impressed today, new stand, modern but holds some of the original character. Went last season but it was being built at that time. The fans were not overly great, variation of songs poor but we're in voice when they scored. We came in from the other end, live band on, great refreshment stands around the ground near love ban and shows how it can be done.

Might not see them for a few years.

Still shit facilities for away fans.

Those same two old biddies serving form the window in the wall! :o

Tiny bogs. No point in having that massive new stand - they'll never fill that in League 1.

At least they didn't make the mistake of having the home team warm up in front of the away fans like last season

Didn't get one mate.

Joined the back of the queue two hours before kick off but I'd only moved forward two places by 12 o'clock!

I think it's a nice ground. New stand ready for if/ when they have success, which imho is the way to do it.

Always enjoy our trips there. Short and mostly sweet

"The curse of the Stand Extension"

Wolves, Cardiff, Swansea (they only needed to talk about it  ) all ending in relegation. The classic example of counting your chickens before they hatch

Ah yes, but in Swansealona's defence they were wholly convinced that they and their 'Swansea Way' were there to infinity and beyond! ;) :laughing6:

Next year's blockbuster movie will be Twin Story 4; where the superhero toy 'Buzzoff Lightyear' will finally get his comeuppance as he realises he and his cowboy builder mate, Bryn 'Woody' Jenkins have finally bitten off more than they can chew and sold out the rest of the toys in the creche

In the final scene, we see them quietly led out through the backdoor cat flap by their triple-headed mate, 'Slinkylad'

Coming out in a town not too far from you this Spring  :ayatollah:
