Sheffield United taken 2,500 to away Walsall today, sold out and it's their 6th season in division 1 and been back to the same grounds for years.

It's only an 80 mile trip for them, that's like a derby for us! 
We will probably take the same numbers for Reading away. Any trip around 1 and a half hours to 2 hours is always popular as it's the perfect distance imo. The trip is too long to be classed as a derby, so there are no restrictions and no messing us about with the kick off time, the trip is long enough to have a good day out with the opportunity to have a few drinks and you can get back a reasonable time to enjoy your evening.

Ross, your right just looked, 96.7 miles one way, just under 200 mile round trip in the Lower divisions it's what u would expect from a lower division club stuck down there for years
I never realised that Sheff United to Walsall was now virtually a derby game
For me all I've got to say that is class away support for club 6 yrs in the same division, bad for them though they lost.

They have always been a big club, I don't think there's any doubt about that. At the moment they are top of their division, & hopefully we will be playing them in the Championship next season.

Thats good numbers by anyones standards.
When you say about the same division for 6 years, back to the same grounds over and over you have to remember thats the same for us but twice as bad.
The trip to Reading this month will be our 13th trip there in the last 16 years.
I think thats gets overlooked quite a lot and is also a contribution to our falling away crowds.
