Tan has spent a lot of money on us we are still in debt to him .
Warnock is the right man to take us forward say no more about that.
We are now blue again the Buzz is coming back and after Tans previous mistakes surely now is the time to put the money in and start again hopefully leaning from his mistakes.
Warnock at this level is I believe the best manager you can go get we have him so lets be as positive as he is and go get.
Over to Tan ultimately. Also can we expect warnock to hang around not getting younger and he wants one more promotion so hopefully it all goes well in the meeting

Its good to talk. They are of the same generation. I think its time to be positive.... They will get on like a house on fire.

I would be surprised if large sums of money are made available again while he is still trying to clear huge debts from last time.

Hopefully Tan has also learned about the importance of a top class manager and will back Warnock for a promotion push next season.

That's correct, you won't get the right players in January, consolidate now with a few addition,s and keeping Manga, and build a strong enough club this summer ..........

Personally for me I didn't enjoy the premiership it wasn't "all that". So I'd be happy for Tan to keep reducing the debt and work with Warnock to steady the club. Last thing I want to see is the club debt go back up chasing the premiership dream.

I know exactly what you mean and agree to a very large extent.
However, if Tan wants to get any sort of return on his investment he needs us to get into the Premier League and if we do, hopefully he will continue to learn from previous mistakes which, in fairness to the man, he seems to be doing recently.

I'm not expecting anything this window, i think we have enough to stay up. I do think that we will go for it in the summer tho.

If Tan was once again willing to invest money, I would prefer us to put real money into the academy and develop a new era of youngsters at the club, rather than a quick fix, chasing the Premiership. The club needs to build some new solid roots that a new generation of supporters will believe in, no better way to do that, than with a squad of talented players that have come up through the ranks. The icing on the cake, would be some local lads included in that squad.

He is already millions in the red. It would be a massive gamble risking millions more in an attempt to do it all again. Considering all that has gone on at the club, and the abuse he has faced from many fans, I don't think he will be in any hurry to throw more money into a bottomless pit. I believe that this club will be operating on a fairly tight budget for the next few years. It looks to me as if his intentions are to make the club debt free, and to spend vast sums of money in what could be a failed attempt at promotion would be similar to trying to clear your debts by pumping all your cash on the spin of a roulette wheel. My guess is he will be hoping Warnock is astute enough to develop the team with the minimum amount of expenditure, and hope that we may have an outside chance of scraping into the play offs next season.

Tan knows that he made a mistake. The kit change from Blue to Red, he knows this was due to his inexperience of British football. Enough time has elapsed now for it to be forgotten.
His advisors will tell him, that with the right backing, Warnock will take City to the Premier League.
They will use Warnock's proven history at getting clubs into promotion contention. Warnock does not waste money or suffer players who do not give 100%. He makes sure that players who give everything to his cause are well looked after.
The money is not important to Tan. The man is a billionaire.
In Malaysian culture, it matters more that he rights a wrong and is seen to be successful.

You have to think that Tan will love Warnock's infectious enthusiasm too

You don't get to be a billionaire if you think money is unimportant....
That said you have made some very good points. Also it would be a great feather in VT's cap if he could completely turn this club around make it debt free and land it in the PL.

I don't believe Tan has to spend millions of £ to get us into the play offs or even promotion. As long as we keep Neil Warnock. Yes we definitely need to add more quality to the squad and sell some players but I believe with Neil on board with this team we could finish about 12-14th. Spend a little more than we could be getting close to play offs. Spend abit more again and who knows! I wish we could just spend millions of £ but not many clubs apart from the PL AND Some champ teams can do that anyway!

I can imagine, Warnock's comments tomorrow, along the lines of
Tan very honourable man, and misunderstood, Cardiff are so lucky to have him, and he us
They really get on, he's one of the best owners he's ever worked with
He doesn't want to make the expensive mistakes of the past
He's promised to back him but sensibly, we go this year and see where it takes us and go again next season
We are all together going forward, fans players management directors owner, us against the World
It's going to great can't wait
