Bruno Ecuele Manga

13/01/17

Warnock has though performed a U-turn on the future of defender Bruno Ecuele Manga who he would now like to stay once he returns from international duty with Gabon at the African Cup of Nations.

"I think an MLS club made an enquiry for him but the way I feel at the moment, I'm quite happy to keep him," Warnock confirmed.

"If I can do business elsewhere to cover the ins and outs then I'm quite happy to have Bruno back until the end of the season and try and talk him into another contract."

Great news if it happens .....Brunos our best player. Good news for longer term if we want to build astrong team for next year. Da iawn.

I've always thought a club has to keep their best players if they want to show ambition and Bruno is one of them.
Of course circumstances don't always allow this.
I'll be very happy if he ends up staying.

It's a pity Warnock wasn't manager when Marshall was here....doubt he'd have let him go on the cheap.
Great news about Bruno. Class act!

I like Bruno, I know he's not perfect but I enjoy watching him, I would love him to stay and be a main part of our team but I think he will leave in the Summer when his contract is up.

To be honest he would be a mad man to stay with us, signing for us has been a bit of a disaster for most players if the truth be told and he is to good to stay unless we are going to show some ambition in the Summer. It's already been said that there is interest from the MLS who would match if not improve his wages and he could get a Club at the lower end of the Premiership top of Championship and keep his wages I think as there will be no transfer fee.

For whatever reason hasn't been decent for some time until Warnock arrived, credit due he looks a different player. If you go back before Warnock he might have pace and look a class act but defensive lapses would cost us. Much improved and would love to keep this Bruno manga.

I heard from good knowledge at the Wolves home game that there was never real intentions selling Manga in this window or in any coming window, the only time we was looking to get rid of him was in the summer window but he was rated by Warnock highly when he came in.

This talk of him leaving was nonsense for this window.

It's great that Warnock wants to keep him but a lot of it will be down to the player himself.

I doubt that Bruno will be happy playing at our current level for very long. He's said before that he'd like to play at a higher level and I get the feeling he'd like to play in the top division whether here or abroad.

We certainly couldn't afford to give him an improved contract and why would he be happy at his age and at this stage of his career to sign a new contract on lesser money?

Of course it's possible that no suitable club may come in for him and perhaps that's our best chance of seeing him still here next season, unlikely though that may be.

Excuse me , but Warnock has not done a U turn, he has always said that he would like to keep him but that would depend on finances, the media making stuff up again
