Brighton away 24th

Fri Jan 13, 2017 8:09 am

The brighton game has been rearranged for 24th January. There is a planned rail strike on southern trains so the Amex will not be serviced by any public transport for anyone not on a battle bus. Parking in the area is non existent.
Good luck if anyone thinking of attending.
In have tickets and will be going somehow

Brighton is one of our fav away trips! We werent doing much one day and city were due to play Brighton at 19.45 or 8pm (can't remember the kick off time). I drove past our stadium then thought....hmmm lets just go to the match. I zipped home, got our season tickets and zoomed back to the stadium and got Brighton tickets for that night. Then we jumped in the car and drove there. I remember there was NO parking anywhere - we even begged at the stadium gates but were turned away with no idea of where to park. We turned into the station carpark which is right next to the stadium where there is literally 10 parking space capacity. There were no spaces left but luckily there was a gap next to the police bays next to a hedge - I thought I'm getting in there - breath in so I squeazed my car in there and even better they said I didn't have to pay as technically it wasn't a space and I think they took pity on us having driven all the way. We had lots of time to spare so jumped on the train and went to Brighton for food and a walk to the beach!

People were very friendly and helpful at the match and it was a real pleasant experience still with all the banter between fans. The match finished 2-2. A great day out!

Use the university across the main carriageway , don't use the bottom car parks but the ones at the top, parked here 3 times now never had a problem.

City should get 600 fans tonight, as free travel, fans had already paid for tick/coach etc and its not the night before New Years eve now :bluebird: :ayatollah:
