Andy Dibble departs for Cardiff City...
Rotherham United can confirm that goalkeeping coach Andy Dibble has left the club to take up a role at Cardiff City.
The 51-year-old leaves the Millers after six years of service which began in 2010 and saw the club achieve consecutive promotions to the Championship, as well as being part of the staff as the club moved into their new home at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
Dibble was brought to the club by Ronnie Moore and boasts spells with the likes of Peterborough United and Coventry City on his coaching CV.
He was a Welsh international as a player, beginning his career with the Bluebirds, where he returns as the club’s goalkeeping coach.
Everyone at Rotherham United would like to thank Andy for his contribution whilst with the club and wish him every success in his future career.

Fair play he looks thrilled at the prospect of coming back to us!

Let's hope he can train our keepers in the art of dealing with crosses into the box.
We've had some decent shotstoppers over the years but I'm struggling to remember the last time we had a keeper who totally dominated any balls coming into the box in the air.

Remember him well. I thought he did OK for us in the early 80's.

One of my favorite keepers! Ron Healey being the best!

Good keeper for us, left too early/young, should have stayed for a couple more seasons.

I remember playing for Court Farm, Cwmbran as a kid and then our promotion team of 82/83.

Probably one of the best prospeats to come through our system

Did Court Farm ever get promoted or even win? Always used to give them a good hammering for both Fairwater and West Pontnewydd

In the early 70's it was Oakfield who were tops, although Court Farm was a good derby. But before Dibbs time

That's correct, although later on Cwmbran celtic were the top club in Cwmbran, they run two senior teams i played for one of them, i was also playing for Pontnewydd united when a young andy dibble joined the club, his father used to be one of the coaches and he was also a decent goalkepper. I would go as far as saying he has been the best kepper we've had in my time (since 72) for commanding his area and coming for crosses.
