Bayern Munich charge £104 for a season ticket and say that they have a sponsorship deal which brings in more than the sales of ST, so the fans get something back.
Personally I wouldn't pay £55 for a ticket ever again

Man Utd one of, if not the biggest Clubs in the World, Old Trafford an iconic stadium, theatre of dreams etc etc, some of the best players in Europe, semi final of the Cup. £55 is the going rate.
You compare that to going to see a show, a six nations Rugby match, Formula One, tickets to a big race day set etc and £55 isnt that bad.
Football has become one of those sports now that for many its a one iff experience, something that you go to now and again. Im amazed that Away Crowds remain so high at some Clubs, not that many people will have that much disposable cash to spend a couple of hundred quid on an away day once a month and time off work in some instances.

Nowhere near 8000. Midweek, on tv and a long way away to a place where travelling is a nightmare.

We only took something like 2,000 to Palace when we played them in the Semi Final of the League Cup, now that was embarresing.
Think we would take 3-4,000 tops if it was Man Utd at OT.
We took 6,000+ to Anfield in 2007 but the Valley Rams were still going then. The fact they folded is a massive reason in the decline of our away support IMO. A fact that often gets overlooked.

You are comparing a season long hobby to one off major events. They are incomparable.
Compare it to a ticket to the movies with popcorn and a drink and you will be closer to the mark to the price it should be. £20 max. £55 is an abomination.
