Agree - and the best way to show people it works is to sell out.
Our coach is 3/4 full already.
Should be a great day out.

I don't see why you think we should be selling out! Ok it's one of the closest trips! But on what evidence have you seen in our previous away games gives you the impression that we will seel out!

Our fans have been poor few a few years now! In fact a laughing stock most of league two take more than us away these days!I And I don't see that changing anytime soon!

It's results and challenging for promotion that will only get the fans back!

Not in a million years will it sell out, might get 1,800 - 2,000 which is decent. Those days are long gone, we need to stop beating ourselves up about it, different people go, different generation, different priorities. Back in the day Welsh cup away against the jacks would be sold out in days, 3,500 which wasn't far off our home crowds.

Wasn't long ago we took about 4,000 to reading. Thankfully the club is on the mend, takes time

I am massively in to crowds/home/away and always have been :thumbright:

Every time I put up pics/away crowds of say 2,000/3,000 away fans,99% of posters say on here,If it was cheaper,up the road,No restrictions,on a Sat,3pm,not on tv,we would take that.

Well Reading away is all that and we are a Championship Club and we are not dead and buried. :bluebird: :bluebird:
We are improving and have a dream manager :thumbright:
Non League clubs take 1,000,sometimes 2,000 away fans sometimes.
They are not all getting promotion.
Div 1 and 2 clubs are taking 800 -3,000 away fans, we are a massive City and there is No reason why we can't,Many on here have a snipe at other clubs away fans, saying all the stuff Ive just mentioned about Reading away .

We get 16,000 average home, We should average about 1,500-2,000 away over a season if you compared with what we use to take about 7 years back . :bluebird: :bluebird:

I rem quite a few times taking 4,000 fans to Reading away :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

You do love it, without doubt things are improving as manager fans and players are in it together but you have to remember the lads who made up a lot of them numbers now have families and the new generation as passionate as they are don't have anywhere near the numbers we had. You know better than me, a big city game away would draw silly numbers with little else to do in South Wales but that generation has gone. When we have had the numbers this season the old school have played a big part, was evident in villa

Gareth, I do agree,we have lost hundreds of lads, who followed City away everywhere and we also have lost many diehards through Tan and sadly many still have not returned.

But we have 100's of youngsters coming through who are very passionate about City, they need to be encouraged more by our club and Reading away helps big time with the prices :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

I don't think we will sell out but I think it will definately be between 2-2500 which would be a very decent turn out :ayatollah:

Funny then how home crowds are at a record high.city 4th from bottom of second tier average 16000. In the past when in a similar position we would get 7 to 8000 max?

Great prices. Probably the cheapest day out considering it's only up the road too. I'll be in the hope tape early doors is anyone fancy it.

Yes can't disagree with that, also think we hit rock bottom and despite our low position in the championship we are slowly getting our Cardiff back. No doubt about it.

Yeah agree with forever blue. No excuses here well done to both clubs. I get plenty of stick for saying this but its my opinion. All about league position,if we were top 4 under Warnock tickets would be flying, city fans have had it good on the pitch since fa cup final season.. The young fans coming through are making plenty of noise though, hopefully this continues.Stop moaning and support your home town club :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Me and the lad would be there if he wasn't playing football himself on saturday morning.

Plus, there's a 'cooling' influence in terms of the missus/mam... he's had 2 City games 'back to back' - what are you getting his sister or are you going to take her.

Erm, sorry luv, football is Dad n lad time. Besides I doubt our 9 yo daughter would be arsed to watch City in the cold for 2 hours odd, plus she'd drive everyone batty with questions and going to the bog!
