' NEIL WARNOCK IS STILL INTENT ON SIGNING '
Even though Neil Warnock has been told to trim his squad during January, he is also still intent on adding a new goalkeeper, winger and striker and will go all out for the three of them

I'm inclined to believe this.If they(the club)don't back him in this window I can see him gone and who could blame him.

Would love to know what the clubs long term plan is

. We know the short term, simply to stay up this season, after an awful start, is to just stay up again next season? If so NW, might as well leave in May, and why bother signing players, waste of money, as we will probably just about stay up anyway! If that's the gig let us know. No different to the seventies, when staying in the second division (championship) was seen as a success, plus a cup game against the big boys!

The man needs some funds he has an impossible task & the squad is trimmed of decent players as it is all that is left bar a the selected few is league 1 players

Warnock has already said his present squad is good enough to stay up so surely we should only be signing better players to push for promotion next season.January is not the time to get good quality players at the right price?

I reckon the long term plan is Warnock steady the ship and trim the squad. He'll make us a solid outfit that's hard to beat over the next year and a half. Then..
enter Mr Bellamy.

Said the same yesterday also need to remember NW s backroom staff are managers/coaches in their own right so there's a wealth of experience to tap into.

As we all know the problem with the January window is the only players available are the ones other clubs don't want

Cellini wasn't there when warnock was manager at Leeds. Ken Bates was the owner.

No funds available Reza? That's 600k already by your calculations?

yeah hardly breaking the bank are we or do you think in todays market that theres good value in getting two players in for 600k?
cos i dont, average players are going for a few million now days so 600k for two players isnt a lot at all,the way the manager was talking as if we would spend a few million this window on a striker alone but that doesnt look likely at all

January is not the time to get good players, clubs tend to keep them just in case, using the loan system with Premiership clubs is better?
