If we both weren't so sh*t...

Mon Jan 09, 2017 7:33 pm

We would have been drawn at home against the Jacks in the next round of the FA Cup. Bumper crowd and a great occasion.

Fulham v Hull instead.

Yes Allan even if it had been 11.30am kick of for us v Jacks and live on tv, it would of been a massive crowd, suddenly no excuses

Would have had another winnable match at home as last season when we lost to Shewsbury who then drew Man Utd.

Obviously if we played Swansea at 11.30am there would be a higher crowd than playing Fulham as people would make more effort.

I dont get why people try and be clever and say it, it would be a local derby, the two fixtures are incomparable.

Annis I think we have found a new hardcore group of fans replacing those that have left for numerous reasons (not just tan) :laughing6: it's going to take years of being in the promotion chase to increase the numbers from around 9k (hardcore) and think need new owners to start that process as can't see tan alone putting in the money again. :old:

Of course there would be no excuses, it would be 2 full strength first teams and we would be playing our biggest rivals. It also presumably would be at a more sensible KO time as well as being majority hyped up for weeks (Doubt Warnock would make comments about struggling to get out of bed).

We've played Fulham for 4 years now and we're playing them in the next few weeks and they are not exactly a glamour tie. Most FA Cup games have had poor crowds if they aren't playing a top Premier League team.

I'm assuming because you didn't come to the Fulham game then you wouldn't fly over for a Swansea cup match either?

I don't go by the name of the team that City play never have, if I miss a big game so be. I have always turned up no matter what the results/division or team we have played. Ive enjoyed more going to Hartlepool that to Newcastle away.
I was also at our four lowest ever home crowds in our history,1,400 and 1,500 crowds against teams like Bury and Lincoln.

How about you?

Annis, your commitment to following Cardiff is not in question as we all know you are a loyal out and out Bluebird through and through, but the point he is making is a valid one, you can see that right?

You are coming to the Bristol City game and have chosen that specifically as you know its a derby, we will have good support and it will be a decent trip, correct? So you are making more effort for this one as opposed to say if we got Chester in the first round of the League Cup. You would be far less likely to come home for that, correct?

Granted your situation is slightly different as your in another country but the logic is the same.

Well its the same for everyone, its daft to say, oh if it was Swansea or Man Utd or Liverpool etc we would have a bigger crowd, that's obvious, you cant compare the two.

Exactly!!!! that's the point and is exactly what that other fella was saying.

So having little pot shots saying 'oh the crowd would be big if we played Swansea' you wouldn't have any excuses then is absolutely futile and a pointless argument.

Which as you know was ridiculous upto time he moved now of course he picks and chooses just like a lot of fans do on this forum ! Anyway ghats kast word on subject before get inundated by big ken or whoever! :old:
