If the FA doesn't see these attendances as a sign to revamp the Cup then they never will. The 3rd round used to be the highlight of the season.

BBC

Watched by a crowd of 5,199, Fulham missed chances to extend their lead but it mattered little as they coasted through to the fourth round.

This was the third successive year Cardiff had hosted an FA Cup third-round tie with a dismal attendance, having played in front of 4,782 against Shrewsbury last season and 4,194 against Colchester in 2014-15 - a record low for football games at the ground.

Agree with you mate but how can they revamp it though? It's a simple cup competition and unless they made major rules and format changes there's not much they can do

Respect to all those who went this morning.

An excellent effort to be rewarded by a shambolic performance lacking in any positives.

There is quite a lot they could do

Taking the champions league spot from 4th and giving it to the cup winners would help massively and would make a lot of teams look differently at the competition .

No replays after a draw games finish on the day

Set prices for every fa cup game . Say £10 adults £5 children no matter who you play

All games kick off at 3 pm on a saturday

A pyramid system instead of draws every round so away fans know in advance when and where they could be playing and could organise travel in advance instead of a wee or so notice

Not sure I have any respect or disrespect for those that went today.

Attach a Champions League place to it, instead of it being given to 4th place. Otherwise it will comtinue to be seen as an irrelevance.

Draw made Saturday 5.30pm no exceptions.

Overnight the FA Cup would be great again.

Think seeding is needed and we should include our 3rd round game in the season ticket provided it's not v a Prem team

Disagree with that, the non seeding is what the Cup is all about. Seeded competitions tend to just end up with the best teams playing eachother in the latter stages. As a Championship club who wants to progress rather than just get a one off pay day, the more Premier League clubs drawn against eachother the better as more chance of avoiding one and facing a minnow. If it is seeded then FA Cup draw patterns will just become very samey year on year.

The biggest issue is the Champions League spot. Because you get one for 4th place - anyone within earshot of it come Xmas time (top 8) will see the league as a priority. Where as most of the other half of the league is trying to stay up (bottom 8) and get their next lot of Sky money. So only your middle 3 or 4 Prem clubs come 3rd round time can be relatively happy fielding a full side. And besides that, surely winning the FA Cup should have a bigger prize attached to it than being 4th best in the league ffs.

All those who qualified from round 2 should be guaranteed a home fixture, then the other in the hat.

Winner get 4th champion league spot.

For us 4th (  ) round should be included in season ticket price

Valid point that fa cup should be more prestigious than 4th place league.

The lad enjoyed himself today despite it being quiet.

To be honest I think that may have added to his enjoyment somewhat - we managed to bag a good half dozen or so pics with and autographs from City players and a half dozen Fulham.

His new Christmas autogrpah book had a good first outing.

Did we have to agree to this ridiculous kick off time or was it for the TV money?
