100% agree, piss poor centre midfield, no bite, anticipation, quality or composure.

I hoped Huws would step up today but didn't look at all interested I expected to be a good player for us. :banghead:

We need a 3 man midfield of Whitts, Gunnar plus one other but we are desperate for better options up front and out wide.

Fulham were a really good team, they looked after the ball extremely well. The passing in the build up to their first was superb.

That Conor Hourihane at Barnsley looks a superb player I would have him alongside Whitts and Gunnar and tbh we made Fulham look good.

I remember we wre linked with him last summer but some clueless fuckers wrote him off because he was a league 1 player  just like Sam Clucas another played linked who went to be a good player for hull.

I was happy to see Huws get game time but unfortunately he's flopped and I can't see him near the first team again any time soon. Okeefe for me is a quality player but I don't think warnock rates him too highly.

I can see Huws being shipped out soon and I don't think Warnock rates Okeefe either Gunnarsson has pushed him right down the pecking order with his performances.

I agree a 433 is the way to go

New Goalie
Peltier
Sol
Morrison (Manga obviously, but he ain't staying is he)
Bennett

Gunnarson
Whitts
Ralls or O'Keefe

Holiett
Zohore (still not sure)
New player

So we need to arrange moves for Amos, John, Connolly, Richards, Huws, Noone, Pilkington, Harris, Fred, most of the U23's and hope Lambert retires.

I doubt the above is even cost neutral, we are a mess.

That winger from Derby we are linked with hope we get him and hopefully get a good midfielder to play alongside Gunnar and Whitts and I would keep Harris as an option off the bench and I agree about getting rid of everyone else you mentioned.

I think Harris is poor and have said so for quite a while. His pace does scare the opposition, but after 33 games he still hasn't a league goal or assist, so whats the point of him.

Nooney is on the downgrade and has been for a while, a fresh club may rejuvenate him and I can see someone taking a punt on him, although we couldn't ask too much for him. But, he is championship class unlike Harris.

We looked a lot better when Lambert went off. Pace and movement up front and all we need is for Whitts to hone his sights on them and we'll be in.

I do worry about the lack of movement from Whitts and Gunnar and we'll need the third to get into the box more than they do. Ralls can do this, not so sure on O'keefe he'll be there as a back up to gunnar. One thing for sure it wouldn't be Halford.

That's the whole point of Harris was his pace and when he has come off the bench he has done well and Noone can go along with Pilkington and we do need a another striker today showed that Lambert should just hang his boots up and the winger we are linked at Derby hope we get him and a midfielder like Conor Hourihane at Barnsley would be perfect to play alongside Whitts and Gunnar.

The whole squad needs to be ripped apart and rebuilt. Start from scratch and build a team around Bamba, Gunnarsson and Whittingham. It's going to be a long process and I can't see us getting promotion in the next 2-3 years.

Yes but Warnock will need backing to do it and hopefully he does.

The biggest problem we have is getting rid of some of the poor/average players. It's all very well us saying they should go but nobody else seems to want them and the club gets criticised when it releases players like Immers.

The club gets criticised because Immers is the latest in a vet long list of players we sign and then within months are deemed surplus to requirements. Every player signed last summer except for Ken is not wanted already. This is the 4th or 5th set of players in 3 years starting with Oles first window that are not wanted within months of signing them!!!

I was hoping with Warnock we'd see an end to these type of signings but having just witnessed Halfords debut I won't hold my breath.

I rate Warnocck but I found the team selection strange, almost like it was set up to fail.
For whatever reason Warnock wanted to play Halford in midfield.
Presumably to get him fit (or at least a bit fitter). For me he was easily the worst player on the park.
As a result the midfield was always going to struggle. Its too easy to say Gunners and Whits would make a big difference.
To be fair to Ralls he worked hard and was prob our second best player after Bamba.
I thought Huws was OK but nothing special. Its difficult to be sure about him as he has had little chance to impress and then he plays alongside Halford.
For me Jazz Richards did quite well and that is a slight positive. I would like him to stay = decent player. However I'm clutching at straws as the team performance was dire.
Up front....Lambert has had his day and is too slow now. To put Pilkington up front with him was again odd as he is pretty slow as well. What made it worse for Pills is that his fancy boots highlight his deficiencies! I would have expected Fred to have been in with either Lambert or Pills. Not because I think he's good but he is at least quicker. Again on a positive note young Harris (not Kareem who was disappointing) got a run out. He is young, mobile and promising.
To conclude....if the team was set up to fail then it certainly worked (!), and there won't be much of an outcry from fans if 4 or 5 are shown the exit door.
