A forum for all things Cardiff City

Just wondered what people's favourite chant is? Over the last 5 years I've noticed quite a few new ones and some old ones have survived....just wondered what people's favourites are? (Just a distraction from all the transfer news).
I wondered what our chants were like in 1950-60? Anyone remember any? I wasn't around then!
You are my cardiff, my only Cardiff..... is up there for me! But there's tons more...
There's only one team in Wales ??? Where's that gone!

You are my cardiff, born under a grange end star, hey Jude, there's quite few to be fair. I'm not a fan of all the modern shit the likes of Palace and Watford sing. Both clubs never use to have a atmosphere or songs of their own so they decide to try and copy the foreign clubs and jump up and down dry humping each other.

I heard a chant recently that I thought was outstanding but it unfortunately died a death.
Some youngster came up with it.... Good on him I though.
It started as the away keeper stood with his back to our goalposts and kicked his studs against it to clean them off.
"HEY KEEPER LEAVE THOSE STICKS ALONE" came out of one young lads mouth..... Followed by a few of his mates chanting.
"ALL IN ALL YOUR JUST ANOTHER PRICK IN THE GOAL"
This has all the makings of a classic for me and it's great to see the youth trying to make their mark.
Keep at it lads.... This can take off and is original too.

Our chants are shocking - I heard a couple of people trying to start a Bamba and Zohore one against villa but we really need some decent chants to echo around the ground

I couldn't agree more Blue and can't help thinking that had we still been at Ninian Park then the whole Grange End would have got behind the youngster's take on a Pink Floyd classic.

About 7-10 years ago our chants were fantastic IMO. Loud and noisy with a lot of buzz around the ground and that's not just ninian park - that's all happened in the Card city stadium. Where have they all gone? I know that chants can change with different players coming in etc but our away support always beats the home matches!

The modern chants are shite IMO - the Swansea stuff - 'touched by your father' etc.
Obviously I love - 'he does what he wants' .... especially when a free kick hits the back of the net. Electrifying!!

Where were those flags for the villa game?

I always liked "Same old English always cheating" bit surprised it wasn't sung with that refs stupid decisions with Grealish.

We could change one of our old chants and direct it to our players - cheer up swansea's worse than us.

There's to many groups and they are all in competition with each other.
They all want to be the ones to make up the song rather than all be in it together, another thing our fans are good at now is singing under the stand rather than in it.
The worst I have seen was Swansea in the Premiership season, granted we lost 3-0 in the end but it was all square at half time and we were still in it up to 80 minutes.
Under the stand pre game was electric, the fans were bouncing, as soon as we got up into the stand and the games kicked off there was nothing, it was pathetic, a few would start singing and nobody would join in, then another lot would start singing and nobody would join in and so it continued, the Jack Bastards to the left of us were bouncing, didn't stop all game, was an absolute embarrassment on and off the pitch.
