TRANSFER GOSSIP: Adam Le Fondre's 34th Rumoured Return to Bolton Wanderers
Groundhog day for Bolton Wanderers fans
by Chris Manning
Jan 5, 2017,
In the hit film GROUNDHOG DAY, Bill Murray plays an arrogant Pittsburgh TV weatherman who, during an assignment covering the annual Groundhog Day event in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, finds himself in a time loop, repeating the same day again and again. After indulging in hedonism and committing suicide numerous times, he begins to re-examine his life and priorities.
Bolton Wanderers fans know how this feels as we are, tonight, being linked with Adam Le Fondre for what seems like the 400th time. At least.
Everyone's favourite reluctant journalist, Alan Nixon, has tonight tweeted that Wanderers are one of several clubs chasing the former Reading striker.
You would think that the goodwill which exists between player and club would mean that we would be at the head of any metaphorical queue that may exist for his services.
Whilst struggling for Championship losers Wigan Athletic, Le Fondre was a great success when on loan at Wanderers in 2015 - scoring eight times in 17 games.
So do you think ALF will come back?
Where will he fit in the team?
What does this mean for the washing machine?
So many questions.

Don't think it will have any effect on the washing machine as he would struggle to get into the Bolton first team.
He came to us and huffed and puffed but got nowhere. His loan to Bolton looked like he had got back some of his form and perhaps if Boltons finances were a lot better they would have kept him. However ALF instead of taking a wage cut to stay at Bolton he came back to us and we were fortunate to loan him to Wolves. This latest move has not been clever for him and has done his fitness/sharpness no good at all. I think he is a league one player now but not for a team challenging to go up there.

At the time I thought it was an absolutely great signing, he was the type of striker I had wanted us to sign for ages.
Prolific goalscorer in the lower leagues and then had a decent record with Reading in the Championship and had a more than decent season in the Premiership with them despite them being cannon fodder.
God knows what's happened to him.

OGS oh hell, so massive wage and thought he would just go through the motions, but didn't he get stuck out on the wing?

in his 3 years at Reading although he seemed to score he was never a regular. 104 apps and exactly half of those 52 off the bench.OGS worse signing in my opinion.
