RANGERS IN FOR DECLAN JOHN?

Tue Jan 03, 2017 11:41 pm

GLASGOW RANGERS WANT DECLAN JOHN?

Rangers Looking To Improve At Left Back, Especially With Captain Lee Wallace Out Injured.

If True, Could This Be A Good Move For Both Parties?

Personally, I Think This Could Be A Cracking Move For Dec & Could Hopefully Get His Career Back On Track.

Thoughts?

Good move for him if this comes.off. qe need a high sell on clause in his contract if he goes

Despite early promise, Declan John has now been overlooked by successive managers/coaches at the CCS and (even allowing for Paul Trollope) they can't all be wrong, so a move away may be the best thing for him even if only on loan :ayatollah:

Gattuso, Arteta, Ledley and Larson to name a few, however all also played in European Comps as well.

In my opinion, he could do better. He'd be better off going to league one than the irrelevant and uncompetitive Scottish Sunday league.

Will be a great move for him and Wales, but agree with sell on clause, remember Gestede,McCormack,Poole etc

Re: RANGERS IN FOR DECLAN JOHN?

he needs to be playing and if he goes up there the standard may not be great every week but he will be playing under pressure every other week as the rangers fans are demanding, im not sure its somewhere he would thrive but hes not gna get games here so time to sell

Have to agree, it is shit.
Have to laugh when somebody like Sweaty Sock McTavish scores for Rangers or Celtic against someone like Queen of the South and they celebrate like f**k!

Overrated and not what everyone makes out to be, reality.

Good move imo and sell on clause has to be a given. What's seen as a good fee for John?

Yeah but they get to get stuffed in Europe. Must be worth the other 30+ games of drivel.

The football maybe shite but wow incredible support.population 5million and a full football league .wales 3 million with a tiny proportion watching football or rugby for that matter.

Arteta was a first team player at Barcelona then went to Celtic lasted 2 seasons, improvement??

Larson was playing for Feyenord then joined Celtic admittedly had a ball but when sold to Barcelona struggled to make the team.....improvement?

Ledley at Cardiff was being watched by several premiership clubs with Cardiff turning down offers when he was under contract, opted for Scotland now plays for Palace....improvement??

That's a bit unfair on Wales mate.

Take out Rangers, Celtic, Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts and there's not many pulling up any tree's in terms of attendances.

Glasgow is a massive City with two iconic Clubs, then Edinburgh another big City and capital, and Aberdeen is as big as Swansea.

The rest of the League is pretty crap, most of the teams in the bottom two divisions only pull in around 2-300 a week.

We have us, the Jacks, Newport, Wrexham, Merthyr and Colwyn Bay, whatever the League of Wales gets, whatever the Regions get in Rugby plus the Principality Premiership then you have the rest of the Welsh Leagues in Rugby and Football.

International level both games selling out regularly.

I think Rugby and Football is fairly well played and supported in Wales at Professional and Amateur level.

2.3 Million more people in Scotland than Wales aswell, we are doing ok mate

Mate there loads of inaccuracies in your post.

Arteta played for Rangers mate not Celtic, I',m guessing that was a typo and he never played for Barcelona, couldn't get in the team

You have been well harsh on Larson there and what you have said is not true to be honest.

He signed for Barcelona on one year contract and was a regular before he tore his anterior cruciate ligament.

Barca then extended his deal and he played all the time in the second season, set up the two goals in the Champions League Final against Arsenal, they wanted him to stay for a 3rd year but he had already planned to leave and finish his career Sweeden.

Apart from that he's spot on

Declan John hasn't been mentioned on any Rangers Forum or in the MSM, as far as I can tell.
