Transfer budget for Warnock?

Tue Jan 03, 2017 2:09 pm

Will we see the right man get the right funds to take city up the league? We all know Warnock would spend the money wisely on the right players that fit this club.

So what does everyone think his January budget is and the budget for next season? And can someone explain the Financial Fair Play (FFP) Rules which I hear are impeding us at the moment?

Can Vincent Tan chuck £millions in the pot or not? And is Tan anytime soon gonna be able to be allowed to stump up the cash?

Surely other clubs are gambling and many clubs will come tumbling down?

Anyone make sense of it all with our club's position at moment?

I'd be dissapointed if Neil Warnock never had a fair crack at City.

Thoughts ?

Unfortunately Tan simply can't throw money at this as FFP would kick in and we'd be under an embargo like Forest, etc.

I don't know the detail on FFP but there are strict limits on what we can spend pro rata to our income as well as there being an annual limit on what owners can plough in.

The only way forward is for the club to get rid of those on the highest wages and look to create a bit of capacity within the accounts that would allow us to spend/invest. We may have to lose quantity to gain quality and I'm sure that's probably the way Warnock is thinking at the moment.

This is also my worry but can't Tan pay off some more debt owed to him by ccfc which could free up funds for the transfer market or is Tan not allowed to do this .
I'm not sayingTan would give money but it's such a grey area to try to understand it all
