I would rather that than using my kids as a human shield in family stand. If I can only get tickets next to the away supports I no longer take them as it's not right they should put up with the abuse of some away fans.

Up there place a Villa fan threatened to punch a Cardiff fan who was in a wheelchair. Dibs witnessed this and said to him to try and punch him as he wasn't in any wheelchair. The cowardly cretin backed off lower than a snakes belly.
Threaten the disabled and then the family stand. But reality says they got ran back into the Holt end after trying to pick a fight with Cardiff fans that wanted to have a go back.

Nukes, I was aware of that and (I believe) some of the Barry boys got involved before the Villa cowards ran back into the Holt End. Good on Dibs, good on the Barry boys but shame on the Villa fans...cowards to a man!

Nonsense. I was there with my 4 and 6 yr old nephew's and it was all shouting and winding each other up. No big deal in my opinion. They were pissed off and you had CCFC young kids giving them the V's so they started getting lippy back.

I was in the fam stand today and we got pelted with coins,f*cking dicks

They were chucking coins all game at family stand and Villa fighting with stewards at full time

I was sat right next to their fans and it was a small group of that were the problem towards the end but it didn't come to blows. However, there were adults gesturing at kids throughout the match which is beneath cowardly. One dwarf-like one tried to run though the mesh at the end and a tiny steward got in his way who was floored.
The other stewards (supplied by Safestyle) did nothing and just watched as their 'colleague' struggled to get to his feet. Another Villa fan who looked like a crack addict was spitting into the stand and he looked like a disease carrier. A fat bloke who was gesturing at kids throughout the game slapped his own wife in the face to stop her shouting abuse! One launched a pint which went over him and his mates which whilst was amusing, is beneath cowardly as they are targeting families and kids - how brave.
A couple of us remained back as the inadequate stewards got organised as a few idiots were trying to get through as the families with real youngsters were queuing to leave.
Every club has a few like this but I've lost a bit of respect for them today as it was 'adults' targeting families which to me is beyond cowardly.

This photo was when they tried to charge through the stewards to get at the Cardiff fans which were basically dads with kids like me Annis:
You can see the police running up to help the stewards. Disgusting behaviour by some of the Villa charging to get through to the family stand .

That's the first time I've taken my 4 year old and I won't take him to family stand. He's safer in the Canton stand. It's absolutely absurd that the family stand is next to away end Annis! Ridiculous situation. Those Villa lads have all been on the lash all day and then spit , swear , throw coins at the family stand for 90 minutes. It's crazy Annis. Then when they tried to charge the stewards to attack the Cardiff family's that was the last straw.
The family stand is not safe or fit for purpose. They SHOULD BE NO WHERE NEAR THE AWAY END!
4 year old boys shouldn't have to listen to that abuse!

I'm afraid a lot of our fans are utter embarrassments these days. I don't go away much, partly because many people annoy me. Looking at that picture, it is difficult to defend them. People need heads banging together for behaving like that in front of young kids. Beer will have played a part but it is certainly no excuse.

Somehow if the ends were swapped they wouldn't try it on with the Canton Lads that's for sure! They were nowhere to be seen when we came out of our away section after the game at theirs and as one poster has already mentioned quite a few of their lads were chased back into The Holte. Anyway City 1 Villa 0, happy days, onwards and upwards Bluebirds!
Mon Jan 02, 2017 10:22 pm
Cover the complete away section top to bottom with mesh and let a few alsation dogs run loose amongst them

So so sad. The actions of a few villa fans and then the embarrassment of posters here thinking they still in the 80s.
Laughable. The hooligan days have gone and won't be back no matter how much you wish it.

I was in the family stand with my two boys , we're ST holders and yeah it probably was a bit lippy but I didn't see villa piling in as some are saying . More like a few morons . The coin thing though is probably spot on . The Bastards threw coins at us all game up there .

AV3, clowns are everywhere mate not just with you.
Ahhhh,I can see the old curtains going back up as theres no way that ends will be swapped.

I feel sorry for the likes of yourself mate because over the 2 games some of your lot have gave a pretty shit account of themselves. I was there when the wheelchair incident happened and when it came to the crunch the cowards didn't want to know and got what they deserved and then yesterday playing up with he family stand. I've know a couple of villa fans who are top people and I know they're embarrassed by the behaviour.

Just to keep things in perspective the majority of the Villa fans we encountered on our trip to your place were good as gold mate so don't get too disheartened. I think this just adds more power to our argument that parents and kids should not be next to the away fans cos sooner or later it is really going to kick off.
