The 21-year-old antagonised the Cardiff City Stadium crowd as he protested throughout the match
Monday 2nd January 2017
By Chris Wathan
Steve Bruce has accused Cardiff City's players of kicking Jack Grealish out of the game as Aston Villa went down to the Bluebirds.
But he warned his own man he should not have reacted to the treatment dished out.
Grealish was involved in a row with Warnock after Cardiff's 3-1 defeat at Villa Park in November, the veteran boss angry at what he said was the young midfield ace trying to get Cardiff players booked.
And the 21-year-old antagonised the Cardiff City Stadium crowd as he protested with referee Andy Davies after tussles with Bluebirds rivals.
Villa boss Bruce reckons Cardiff targeted Grealish and said the official should have done more to protect the England Under-21 international.
But he was less than impressed with the actions of his own man, saying: “We've got to protect him. Referees have to have the courage and balls and protect him – but he has got to learn not to react like he does.
"We’re English and we don’t want players throwing their arms up in the air when they’re tackled or think decisions have gone against them. We don't accept that.
“They have kicked him from pillar to post in both games, but all good players get kicked. He's a good player and will get kicked, but we don't want to see the arms waving and all that.”

Do one Brucey

Best way to deal with these show ponies is to give them a good kick.At least three times the lad dived and his conduct at villa park was shameful

He was booked for trying to get players booked. Says it all. What a whingeing little git.

If grealish hadn't gone over so easy at times in attack who's to know they wouldn't have maybe scored.
Mon Jan 02, 2017 6:39 pm
He is about the same dap as Deahli who never ever threw himself to the ground every time anyone went near, even fcking Nooney who is the same size !!!!!

Ha ha unlucky fat boy, Warnock will love that, he deserves it the diving little prick

Sorry big nose - you need to have a word with the big tart and tell him it's a man's game.
I bet when you were playing you'd have given a player like Jack Grealish a right kicking!
Which he would thoroughly deserve by the way.
Too right.Bruce and Gary Pallister would have brutalised him back in the day

Short socks....what's that all about, instantly invites attention
Spent the whole match whinging to the ref instead of living up to his reputation or perhaps in fact he did?
Absolute useless attention seeking prick!
Warnock worked him out....Steve Bruce Whinging...absolutely love it...he did you big time!

The little tart should have been sent off for a second yellow when he clearly dived in the final minutes.
As for Bruce I would ask him just when did the opposition accept responsibility to help Aston Villa to win? Tactics are part of the game and we decided to curb Grealish's impact by closely marking him. He was not 'kicked from pillar to post' that is simply an exaggeration.
Our tactics worked and in frustration the soppy pansy threw himself to the ground at every opportunity or cried to the ref that it wasn't fair that Cardiff defenders were putting in tackles
That said the referee was absolutely useless and seemed determined to help Aston Villa equalise by giving them free kick after free kick just outside the box.
It is to our credit that we still emerged as winners and rightly so.

Why was he booked again Steve? Oh yes diving again, but yeah we kicked him

Grealish was a disgrace and so was his did Aka the Ref, i lost count of the times he drived often getting a free kick off dad for his eforts. He should have been sent off hence the Ref gave a free kick for his drive over the tackle just outside the box, the ref gave him the free kick otherwise he would have to send the tw*t off. He walked around like a tart and acted like a tart,

"All good players get kicked". Spot on Brucie, probably why no-one kicked Grealish all day. He's got ordinary written all over him, nothing special at all - except in his own head. Two games, same thing time after time with him throwing himself to the floor.
Warnock had it right about him, just didn't spell it out clearly.
I'll do it for him - C H E A T.

Well we DID target him. But to be closely marked. He was hardly kicked out of the game. The only high kick towards him was from bamba and that missed - although you wouldn't know it from how he reacted.
He even jumped in to Harris yet still got the free kick. Basically sniff in his general direction and he fell over. The villa players tried every trick in the book. Diving. Stealing extra yards at throw ins. The reason they did it was because the ref allowed it. Which is where the problem was. Had he been firm to grealish and his team mates then it would not have happened for 90 minutes. Ref was extremely poor imho but full credit to all our players who have everything from start to finish. We are starting to gel in to a solid unit with performances like that.

Jack grealish is a disgrace to his profession. Clearly has talent but decides to roll around, buy free kicks and wave imaginary yellow cards around instead of imposing his talent on opposing teams. The referee helped him massively but what a waste!!!!
The more i think about his display today the more it infuriates me. Players with less talent have played premiership and even international football!!!!
I rate him that highly but he needs to cut out all the bullshit. Bruce has come out and said we kicked him today. Obviously the better players get more attention from opposition but players with a better mentality stand up to it and let their quality make the difference. He looked for cheap free kicks instead of trying to spark life into the villa team on the pitch. Utter c**t

Grealish should be given an automatic yellow every game for poncing about with his socks rolled down
The close up is him in the Cup Final

Is this the same Steve Bruce who made an entire career out of kicking, fouling and bullying the opposition forwards????
Mon Jan 02, 2017 10:13 pm
I think Bruce should have a word with him about his socks, I would have relished playing against someone like him with socks rolled down, those white shins stand out like a beacon to be smashed.
Also Mr Bruce if he is as good as HE thinks he is why hasn't a big club come in for him. Maybe they see his antics as a problem. The way he was throwing himself around, maybe he should change sports and become a high board diver like TOM DALEY! f*cking gay boy!

I think he was booked for sarcastically applauding the ref giving him a free kick, wasn't he?
Grealish was a disgrace today, and Bruce knows it. He's tried to protect the lad a little by claiming we kicked him about, but he's been brutal in the rest of his assessment, so fair play. Guess he can't come out and just completely shit on one of his supposed star players.

What this cheating, diving, whining, shit Joey Essex ? The kid has talent but he is nothing but a pathetic cheat. And on sweaty tomato head can do one. Neil Warnock Barmy Army

Girlish is a cheat and now has a reputation for it. Overpaid, overestimated, on a downward spiral and practices precision diving to match Tom Daley to make up for his crapness. Hope the charlatan is still in the team next season for a guaranteed 6 points. Tosser.
