All a bit weird moaning about the ref when you win, but he was so erratic !!
I know Villa are by far the most prestigious club in the division, but wow, that was something else.
I hope Steve Bruce signed that match ball for him

He wants shooting, unbelievable. Also the gamesmanship from Villa was Disgraceful

Tells villa to move back for a throw in, watches the player not move back but then take 5 steps forward for the throw.

It's happening almost every week it's a f*cking joke. It's ruining the game. Stop, start, stop, start ever time someone hits the f*cking deck.

That was diabolical refereeing, every time our players put a challenge in, a free kick for villa, you touch Grealish and he goes down, the ref gives a foul, it was utterly pathetic he let nothing go a part from villas fouls on us.
We got bookings for our players making one tackle, Ralls barge one of there players over after they cleared the corner his first challenge and he got booked, kadeem had a 50/50 with their player, he clears the ball and villa get the free kick, i just couldn't believe it with that ref today, I hope we never see him at city again.

It's ridiculous. It's no wonder players throw themselves to the floor when so many refs can't wait 2 give free kicks! Just let the game go & play on!

i might feel different had we lost.
but purely on watching yesterdays game i thought Grealish and the ref made it the most out of your seat screaming and shouting entertaining game ive seen in eons.
a real pantomime hate figure in the visiting team, who lived up to his rep and a ref who conspired to wind up both sets of fans and the infantile windmill. watching football should be like this more often.

Have to agree with you. The ref's poor performance really got the crowd wound up. Add in Joey Essex playing for villa and it was pure entertainment. I absolutely loved it.

I re-watched 1984 a few days ago and my performance standing and shouting obscenities at the hate figure was straight out of the novel

Not the best day from the ref yesterday but I think much of that was down to the attitude of the Villa players, the dog turd Grealish in particular, but having said that I'd have him again against the Wurzels. Why?
Because yesterday was the 4th time we have had him as referee and we've won them ALL. Besides yesterday we also had him earlier this season against Blackburn at Home. Last season for a 2-0 Home Win over Wolves and a couple of seasons ago for a 2-1 away win at Brentford, we finished with 9 men.

in the beginning zohore tackled the defender fairly and was away for a goal and the ref blew for a free kick I knew from then on he was an idiot and we had a hard 90 minutes ahead

Couldn't agree more, nothing like a bit of unfair reffin to get the crowd going. It helped us hold out in my view.Even if we were fouling feck out of them.

He was awful!
Giving Grealish the foul at every opportunity and he seemed to be the only person in the whole ground who didn't fall for the antics from the slimy, cheating pr**k.

Exactly. If it's not dangerous or malicious then it shouldn't be a foul. They can still protect players and allow the game to flow.
